Mods are as follows. PPP 8.8 Compression 426 PPP Stage 2 Heads PPP Ported Intake Manifold Stock Cam Stock Converter Stock Headers With the stock cam in place with the 426, the Jeep wants to peak really early as seen in this dyno sheet. We are not done tuning yet, there is only 12 degrees of timing in the Jeep and the Air/Fuel is very fat. We plan on finishing up with 550rwhp/625rwtq at 7.5-8psi. The peak numbers would be allot higher if we put a larger cam in it, but the additional 300rwtq at 3,750rpm is going to be allot more fun than more power at 6,000rpm. For comparison sake, this Jeep is making 200rwtq more than our stock block Turbo jeep that ran 11.92. I expect this Jeep could run low 11's. I will see if the customer will allow us to bring the Jeep to the LX and Beyond Nationals. Comments welcome. Here is an overlay with our stock block Turbo Jeep. As you can see, the small cam in the 426 causes the power to peak really early. Also with the smaller cam, that makes power output lower at the shift-point and should help prevent tranny issues. The 200rwtq extra down low should really make this Jeep a monster from red-light to red-light.
The Jeep is being transported to Africa once its done. In order to ensure there were not any complications with tuning and/or stalling and such we wanted to make sure this car did not have any issues because if it does, thats an expensive bill to ship the car back. On a side note, the customer gave us the ok to bring the Jeep to the LX and Beyond Nationals.
How much more HP do you think you could have seen out of it if you would have put a turbo cam in there? Or at least something more suited to a turbo application.
Congrats Andy ....Congratulations I know you guys have been working on this, it looks like hard work paid off. Steve
Fantastic!! Great numbers, when I come into some money I am going to get one of your turbo kits. I just wish I had a good CMR tuner closer to me.
