Holy God. If you missed game 5, you missed out on a phenomenal hockey game.

    Pittsburgh 4
    Detroit 3
    Final / 3 OT

I hope this goes 7 games and frankly, I don't care who wins. Both teams have just played their hearts out.

    Damnit, I love hockey.

I had been checking on it ever since the 1st, and have been glued to the tv from the 3rd all the way through the ot winner. That was one HELL of a good game, and incredibly entertaining. Like you said, I could care less who wins, but now we got ourselves a series and it's just starting to get good.

This game could be a very pivotal point for Detriot in this series. I'm sure Detriot is quite deflated after a 3OT loss at home with the Pens on the ropes. Wish I could have watched the game, but I kept track of it on the cell at work. I should have TiVo'd it, but the other 2 I TiVo'd the Pens lost. Maybe I broke the jinx:bigwink:

HOLY CRAP what a game last night!!!!! I'm not a huge hockey fan (more NBA for me) but even I appreciated what I saw last night, amazing! WHAT A GAME!!!!!! I can't believe Pit won, it was over, Det had it, done, finished over, they OWNED that 3rd period and had their fingers on the cup till ... I still can't believe what I saw!! 40 seconds left was is?? WOW!

And I hate to say it Det fans but that kinda thing could be a turning point for the whole series, I could see Det losing it all now. No way Pit loses game 6 at home with the momentum they got now and it'll carry over into game 7 and with everything on the line for 1 game anything can happen. Geez, can't believe Det was less than a minute away from the Cup and now they're gonna lose it all, amazing. Gotta love this game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    WOW, what a game.

Yeah baby, REDWINGS WIN THE STANLEY CUP!

The Pens are a damn good team. They made it one hell of a series, but in the end the Wings couldn't be stopped!

Yea, another great game, what an ending!! I can't believe Pit lost tho, I thought for sure they'd come out and put up 3 goals real quick on Det after that game 5, oh well.

So this is slightly off topic but since the playoffs are over now I think it's ok, I have to say I was mightly impressed by the sportsmanship of the Pengs after the game. They waited and waited and waited after it was over for Det to celebrate, on their home ice mind you, so they could shake hands and congratulate the Wings, it was impressive to see. I'm not a huge hockey fan and don't watch that many games and I have to say this was a very pleasant surprise to see, for kids to see too, the sportsmanship they showed, very, very impressive. Unlike stupid baseball in our country where they don't acknowledge the other team at all, in fact after a game they congratulate and shake hands with their OWN teammates, it's terrible. In most sports the players shake hands after a game tho, basketball, football, tennis, golf even, but I have to say I was surprised to see it here and to see the Pengs to a man seem to really mean it! Very nice, I've def become more of a hockey fan after watching the playoffs this year!!
