Analog is good if you're just sort of keeping a eye on things but you have to have digital if you're going to be making fuel adjustments or anything like that. I think most all of them have an option/mode for digital?

Actually you probably wouldn't have to have digital if you can log it.

Dave, I agree, totally discuss and my point was that boost is a relative term in that it can vary from motor to motor, airflow (cfm) is what's important. Look at Vortechs higher up blowers and see their cfms, much more than the standard entry level blower. Example, and this happened to me ... take that 5 psi kit and put it on a stock motor (any, 6.1, 5.7, 5.0, whatever) and you'll see right about 5 psi boost. Now take that same kit and put in on the same motor only now with a bigger tb, ported intake, bigger heads and a free flowing exhaust (headers, hi flow cats, etc.) and you're only gonna see 3, maybe 4 psi of boost (this is what I spent all day on the phone with the Paxton tech about). You see less boost but you're making more power cause the motor is moving more air.

This might be why Vortech want the EQ's cars stock to be sure they're putting out 5 psi.

Another ex. I originally had the basic Paxton blower on my Mustang, SN-92 I think it was, and it was set to run 5-6 psi. I wanted more. I swapped the pulley and got 8. Still wanted more (you listening Drew, lol!). Swapped to a smaller pulley again and got 10 but didn't really feel that much more power. In fact the blower fried shortly after that cause it wasn't meant to spin that fast. I got a racing VR-1 Paxton with a much larger inlet and outlet designed to produce up to 17 psi I believe. Whatever, what was important was how much cfm it moved, MUCH more than the SN-92, and immediately I noticed a dif. Much more power than the smaller blower at 10 psi and the funny thing is I only have it set at 8 psi, more power cause it's flowing more air. Also some of that power is cause of the air temp. The VR-1 has bigger impellers or whatever inside so it doesn't heat the air as much as the smaller blower did.

Anyway Dave, that's all I was talking about, don't even think Drew asked anything bout this anyway, doh, lol!! Hey, one day you should stop by and take a look at my Mustang, maybe take come pix too (hint, hint).

    (sorry so long)

Nice Drew, I like your thinking, color match! I would! And if you really wanted you could go for that bigger blue blow off valve, can't hurt anything and if you're goin for looks it would be sweet! Again, I would!

The digital for the A/F makes tons of sense. I just like the look of the analog... watching the needles flip is awesome.
