i dont think anyone can do anything about it. once the cars are bought from dodge, chrysler, etc, the dealership owns them. they can mod them as they see fit.

what dodge can do though is stop them from getting any real SRTs in the future, or any other vehicle that is special in some regard.

they are advertising them as something that they arent....even if they put the 6.1L in there...its still not an SRT...its called Fraud and you can do something about that...not that anything WILL be done...but it can be

what im saying though is in "legalese" i can call my ford explorer an SVT and sell it as such, its not fraud, but misrepresentation. its the same case when you sell a car that overheats, its not my fault you bought it and believed me, its your fault you didnt do your homework.

Steve ... 2.7L SUX model, HAHAHAHAHHAHHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good one bro, good one!!

Funny thing about this abomination is I'd think maybe SRT would be the most upset but you know what, they're prolly not, they're prolly happy that this puts their name out there even more. Sad but true, especially considering the fact that with slow sales from high gas prices and a bad economy and considering how bad Chrysler is doing now without Daimler it's prolly only a matter of time before SRT goes away altogether ... they've already been talking about dumping the Viper, guess what'll come next. Hard to fathom but this abomination of a Charger is prolly a GOOD thing in the long run, geez, can't believe I said that.

We've been discussing this on crossfireforum.org as well, and he has been reported to Chrysler's legal dept.

    Here is the link:
    http://www.crossfireforum.org/forum/showthread.php?t=24994

Love the "2.7L SUX Model." Perhaps a forum member in Charlotte can do a sneak rebadging of them one night (He claims that there are "only 7 in the whole world.")

If you look at his eBay listing, it's been fishy.
First, he changed his ad to say "SRT PKG" instead of "SRT". What a moron - like this takes him off the hook rather than proving that he knows he is being fraudulent. Second, half of his ref's say that they are Soooo honest. Customers usually don't make this comment; rather the let you know when they are not.

BTW - has anyone reported him to these guys? :

I'm off tomorrow so maybe for a laugh I'll print this out and ask the local dealers to test drive one, and show them the printout when they ask what the F I'm talking about. Then just sit back and watch the show while drinking free coffee. :imao:

I also recommend numerous prank calls to the dealership asking for acceleration figures when dropped from qan aircraft both with and without the salesman being strapped to the hood.

WTF!!!!!!! I can't stand it when people upbadge their cars to be an SRT that's not, but this piece of shit being sold by the dealer is freakin' bullshit!!!!! I'm getting sick!!!!!! It's tempting to just take the SRT badges off my car, since it doesn't seem to mean anything anymore!!!!:mad2:
