Why? I'd think it would just be a matter of adding a little fuel. Can't think of anything else you'd need to do. Ask the blower people. Cats are EXPENSIVE.

Went to Vortech today to drop off my car and a couple of goods and bads. One, as stated before on doapy's post, the front end heat exchanger is now almost twice as big as the old one, but it's aluminum not black. John said you can paint it with radiator paint though. Two: The oil caps, BT and even the stock one, won't fit. They are custom making us new ones that are smaller. Three: The pump for the intercooler system won't fit where it normally goes, but they will relocate it with no problems. Lastly, our oil catch can will possibly have to be relocated, but they are trying to work around them.

Is the new heat exchanger air to air or water to air?If it's air to air some pics would be nice.

I had to leave this morning at 0230 and forgot my stupid camera. There was a Sublime green 5.7 that just got completed and a Mango 5.7 was almost done as well. The way he was talking about it, it seems to be the same set-up as before but with a bigger front end heat exchanger.

Looks like it's back to possibly painting the heat exchanger. Time to break out the black radiator spray...

That's what Ryan thought... but he's legit... he almost charged Ryan and Jason twice as much when they put the moves on him!

BTW... the DC strut bar WILL NOT FIT with these systems. Have to try the other one.

Drew, I'm glad you took the time to talk to the guys at Vortech (Ryan didn't) so that everyone is kept up to speed on the ins and outs. I can not wait to go up there and check everything out... those guys sound like a great bunch.

Did you figure out which ones you want? I was talking with him today and he said it would be a good idea to keep an eye out for A/F, etc. He said with it not being a turbo, and having a preset boost, you don't really need to keep an eye on the boost unless you just want to.
I was thinking, you could get one of those monitoring systems like the Edge, or somthing and monitor whatever you want. Saw one yesterday that monitored everything and even did 1/4 and 60' times. You could set different gauges and even what color you wanted. You could keep it out of sight like you want.

No offense, but boost is boost...be it turbo or SC, I wouldn't feel comfortable without a boost gauge....

And of course, you need to know your AFR's, unless you like melting pistons....

I was wondering why you had that guage sticking out your arse... guess you didn't "feel comfortable" without know what pressure Jason kept you at.
