Look behind the steering column. Higher then you'd think it should be. It's there.

Leave the throttle stop alone first time down and just (press) the peddle down slowly and FEEL the car. If you leave off the trans brake the first time it will give you one hell of a jolt. Then you won't be as sensitive to the FEEL of the car.
It's going to take 20+ full power passes for you to really begin to know the car.

If the throttle stop is set up for super comp type index classes. You'll hate it.

They leave the line hard(off the trans brake) then the throttle closes to an idle for a predetermined amount of time. Then they go WOT again for the remainder of the pass. Not something you should do the first time in the car.

    I know I wouldn't.

Yes - I don't believe I will leave off the trans brake at all to start. It'll be darned near impossible not to startle myself and make bad driver inputs instantly.

(and yes - I'm very familiar with how the super class cars run. It's really odd at first. It's also entertaining though to see the different strategies in play. Some guys dial a little throttle in early and run the track, while others wait for ever then go WOT and catch up from behind. Finifsh line games are easiest when coming from behind. But you'll see side-by-side cars at the line with trap speeds 40 mph apart.

If you know what's going on it's kind of fun, because you're always waiting to see if one car can make up the huge lead he let the other car have.

Please don't think I'm trying to tell you what to do. Just offering some input. I'm sure you didn't jump in blind.
If your 300 is the fastest you've gone,,,,,, Giddy up. LOL

LOL. The new car goes 0-130 in exactly half the time of the SRT-8.

0-60 mph should be in about 1.0 seconds.

Although I'll be launching off footbrake and running in the 10's to start with.

    Thanks Hal.

    Just a thought:

Did you/anyone realize you can mix about 30% nitro with methanol, make no changes to your air/fuel ratio, and get about 30% extra HP? :stars:

BUt I'd never try THAT now, would I?

I might try a smaller mix (5% to 10%0 with my methanol/water setup. LOL

So I-Charger with N2O, and methanol/water with a little Nitro.

I have a buddy who builds alot of alcohol motors.

I knew something was coming soon since you recently parted with your Porsche.

Now I have something else to come down to Indy to see for sure!

I can't wait to see that beast run in person!

    Congratulations JasonM!
