Good thing its in Africa. We have enough snakes here in Florida that are poisenous.

This Cobra is just deadly. Spits are you as a sign of disrespect and ends your life at the same time. Not a way to go :naww:

Sure its a dangerous cobra, but honestly not really impressive in my opinion. Spitting cobra's need to get the venom into your blood stream to kill you, only reason they spit is to blind their prey/predator they would still have to inject their venom into your body unless they hit an open wound. As far as size in concerned King Cobra's can reach up to 18 feet, so 9 feet isn't that impressive. The worlds top 10 most deadly snakes are all in Australlia http://arachnophiliac.info/burrow/tenmostvenomous.htm.
As far as venomous snakes in Afirca, the most impressive in my opinion would be the Gaboon Viper, it holds the worlds record in fang length at 2 inchs!!

You have to consider that Florida is the main importing hub for reptiles, especially exotic venomous. Considering the climate in Florida the ones that somehow get out in shipping can survive in the wild here. Just something for you to keep in mind...

    Show off. lol

I will keep to my former hobby Albino Burmese Python's. lol

I miss Casper. Had her when she was a mere 6" long. She passed on two and a half years later at a staggering 14'. She weighed around 150lbs and ate 4 10lb rabbits a week. lol

A heavy snow that knocked out power for more than 12 hours got the best of her. :(

Her first rabbit was made to be her best friend. lol No kidding. They would sleep together. Casper made friends with my cat as well. lol You should of seen them play. haha Ok, Casper was in her cage, but they were funny to watch. hehe

Ive been keeping reptiles for the past 17 years, probably had over 300 different species over that 17 years. Probably around 3,000 total, unfortunitly I've yet to find a woman that wouldn't freak out if I brought home venomous. I've had mostly constrictors (boas and pythons) anywhere from 3 inchs long to about 15 feet long. Various monitors, tegus, iguanas...... At the moment I only have 2 Black Blood Pythons...

Oh believe me, I've had Retics!! Yellow heads, tigers, hatchlings up to 15 feet. Handled retics over 20 feet by myself! I tell you one thing, a 22 foot retic that loves to go for your face is hard to control! It will be a long time before I own another retic, great snakes but im not haveing anything in the house that big until my daughter (19 months old) is older! and then I might go for a Borneo Bat Eater, Its a hybrid between a retic and a berm.... heres a pic....

Out of everything I've had, even the crocodiles I've had......... My malaysian water monitor was the biggest handful to handle....
7 1/2 feet, 85 lbs, and 2 month captive when I got her. The guy I got her from had to get $11,000 in reconstructive surgery on his arms because of her....

she was eating rabbits once a week, twice a week I would give her a bowl of chicken flavored dog food mixed with about a dozen cooked eggs. Also she would get left overs from my snakes that didn't wanna eat that week.

Damn DD. My buddy was an Exotic Handler and he had TWO 24 and 26 foot Retics. Yup, took 6 - 8 of us to handle the two (individually). Just depended on how the snakes ATTITUDE was on a given day. lol

The Monitors are greatm but like you said, can be very unpridictable.

    Great pics. Keep em coming.

I assuming this is the reason for your username???
