This thing is huge compared to the stocker. I grabbed it over 1500 miles and it was always cool...never engine temp...always cool. I am talking at gas stations as I traveled...always cool. FWIW.
Bud, not yet that I know of. I had one thing happen to me in Iowa (does that not say enough???)...I was coming up on some slower traffic and kicked the cruise off and applied the brake slightly...I saw my Innovate gauge wig out (A/F went max min max min max min max min) and I had limp mode. I pulled over and the car was pulsing bad...wouldn't quit. I shut it off and all was ok. I spent 600 miles trying to get it to happen again but no deal...the car always handled it. Remember, I had the 90mm TB installed and tuned at the same time as my 426 went in...package deal.
It gets better :bigwink: Get that manifold dialed in and it make a big difference. Also, there is a trick to dealing with throttle body limp mode while driving. By no means is it safe and I don't recommend anyone do it..............buuuuuuuuuuutttttttt While under speed, do not do anything other then quickly turn the key to ACC and back to On. DO NOT TURN IT ALL THE WAY OFF OR TO WHERE YOU WOULD ENGAGE THE STARTER. The converter stays locked up and the car will fire right off just like you were push starting it and it reset the limp mode issue.
YEAH BABY!!!!! GO VIKES!!!! hahahahahaa yes, i know we have already had this conversation!!! hahahahaa btw, sweet set up buddy!!
I am not sure. Now that the 90mm TBs are out there peeps will be throwing them on most applications...I would say just keep a good eyeball on the forums as people post up their results. I still don't really know what to attribute my good torque numbers to except the overall package...I have the 90mm TB and an underdrive pulley...other than that I have 426 cid and a small cam...stock intake and exhaust manifolds...and a decent tune. I couldn't be happier
