I hate to say it, but only 8 people out of hundreds of clutches sold isn't a big number....

But..it's only been a day..we'll see where this goes.

Like I said...we'll see where this goes.

I have heard many many many good things about SBC.

That doesn't mean they won't have their share of faults.....

*edit*Oh...BTW....Stock clutch still holding strong after 65K miles FTW

every clutch is going to have a few bad ones made, it just comes with the territory. i too have heard good things about these clutchs, was was thinking of trying one next time i need a clutch (which will be soon).

Aaron has addressed the bolt issue with these clutches. SBC are a fantastic brand; as is ACT. I'd stay away from Centerforce, though.

i wouldn't go so far as to say sbc is a fantastic brand lol. there have been a LOT of issues with their clutches that they seem to be denying. a "fantastic" brand would recognize and address issues with their products. sbc certainly is not as of now. but then again, neither is centerforce or fidanza.........

you shouldn't have to modify a bolt to get a clutch to work, that's rediculous.

The 3 stage 4 SBCs friends are running have all withstood immense amounts of cruel abuse and still grab amazingly well. I have not run into a SBC that has had an issue, so I do consider their clutches "fantastic" when comparing them with other well-named brands that simply have not held up to the specs they're stamped with.

The bolts don't prevent the clutch from working; they just add in an annoying vibration. Some people don't mind it, others can't stand it. I can agree it should have been investigated prior to being shipped, though.

you must be running really low boost for the stock clutch to be holding up

25psi on the stock turbo? hahahahahahahahahah :tooth: that's a good one thanks i needed a laugh

20psi is low boost on a 57 trim. that's why the clutch is holding up. it's only really good for like 350ish tq.

ok let me rephrase that. spiking 25 psi. and i made 361 trq on 20 psi.

lol i trapped a mph faster than your 121 on 20 psi. hahahahahahahahahahaha :tooth:

and no stock clutch should last as long as mine has over 150 1.7 60' passes on slicks.. and that was stock turbo. my new set up has seen 2 passes on 20 psi. first was a 12.07 @ 119 which was on pass time. 2nd was a 12.000 @ 122
