    Hey folks.

    We're trying to get Keith's new fascia shipped to Columbus, OH (43001) from Madisonville, TX (77864).
    What's jacking us up are the dimensions:
    80" x 22" x 28"
    The entire package only weighs 25 lbs.!!!

    FedEx = No.
    UPS = No.
    DHL = No.
    Fed Ex Freight = ??? (offices open in the AM)

    Counter-to-counter is out due to dimensions.
    Cargo isn't an option either because the business is no where near any major airport for it to be dropped off.

    If anyone has any suggestions regarding how to get the fascia shipped, please post or PM.

    THANKS!

    When I entered the dimensions, I received:
    "Invalid or no dimensional element given. Value must be a numeric."

    It's bad when they don't even recognize 80 as a number. :grin:

    DHL "Freight" only does large shipments (full trucks or full containers).

    The problem arose when the fascia was ordered through a re-seller. Though the site states "$175 shipping to a business", it magically became "$279" when ordered.
    (no...I'm not kidding....$175 to ship a 25 lb. box)

    I don't think USPS will touch 80", no matter the weight.

    Good call!
    But I think the 80" thing will also be a problem with them.

    Keith called DHL yesterday.
    The answer they gave: "No.".

    We'll try it next time.
    I don't think a hood reaches the 80" mark though.

    Thanks everyone for your help!
    Hopefully this thread is informative for others shipping the large stuff.

    hmm, im wondering if they said no because you were too far for a pickup, or the site wasnt able to accommodate such a large item.
