I left PPP and was like 10 minutes away and THIS car came up next to me and was goosing his shiznitz...and I hate posting threads like this because most are BS but me and this guy got into it. I'll say this...I couldn't pull away from him, and there were a couple of time he was next to me and all I could hear was this monstrous high pitched whine. This car seemed as fast as my new 426 for the 30 seconds or so we screwed around:
Even if it was new M5, you should've have killed it if it was stock. Sounds like it was heavily modified with either a turbo or blower kit on it. I bet he was more shocked than you as to why he wasn't smokin' your ass. Good Run!!!!
i'd take a 426 SRT Charger over one of them anyday!! haha...we arent gonna kill everybody lol....some people can play with us...even you big bad 426 guys!! haha...just throw a S/C and some Nitrous on there and find him again :bigwink:
Hey King, you from MN, or just a big Vikes fan? Either way if Adrian Peterson were to be a vehicle, I can imagine he would be one of the SRT8s.
A 2006 M5 has a 5.0L V10 with 500hp and runs 12.58@120mph bone stock. Now I believe that Jons car will run better than a 12.58, but that 120mph is insane. I would say Jons car would trap 117-119 in good weather. If there was a whining noise, than its possible he had a supercharger on it also. I would say its a drivers race on the interstate if it was stock, but if it is supercharger, he should have you. http://autos.msn.com/research/vip/S...006&make=BMW&model=M5&trimid=-1&wa=wsignin1.0
I sure would hope so...it should run in the mid to high 11's with 17' wheels and DR's in good weather.
I dont think it will hit 11.50's, but 11.80's are a definite. Remember the second fastest all motor car in the country ran an 11.61, so 11.50's are not that easy. Jon still has stock headers, stock manifold, and stock half-shafts. With street tires, he would be very lucky to hit 11's. Point being that the BMW hits 120mph in the 1/4 making it a top end monster, Jon raced it on the interstate where the BMW has all of it power. Jons power is in the bottom end and mid-range. I would say this car would win beyond 80, but Jons would take it up to 80.
I understand about the BMW's topend power...that trap speed is pretty damn fast. I'm guessing the 2nd fastest all motor car is Captan Pal's HHP 426 300C SRT8. I've been in this car with Josh and its pretty BAD!!!!!
Yea you should have had him even on the freeway. I have beaten a few but they where bonestock. My guess is his wasnt. Tell me that color on the M5 is not beautiful. One thing I think we got dicked on was are color choices for the srt8's
haha, you would be surprised dude. most of the m5 people are pretty damn cool guys. i was talking to one for around 30 minutes the other day, kept going on about how much the 300s were sleepers.
Looks like it was a supercharged M5... Here's some action from a bisc'd one: http://www.dpccars.com/car-videos/11-22-07page-Bi-Supercharger-BMW-M5-vs-Hamman-BMW-M5.htm
No im talking about one of my customers cars. Here is a rundown of cars that I know the times of. 1. 11.24 (11.09 happened once, but then the hot air came. lol.) 2. 11.61 (Maurie. PPP 426 top to bottom) 3. 11.64 (Redfox 4. 11.71 (Jack. PPP 426 top to bottom) 5. 11.75 (John. Not sure the exact time. PPP 426 top to bottom) Not sure where the HHP cars fall into this, but I know they are in the 11.7's.
i dont think you can tell from the rear end. this m5 just looks like it may have a body kit, maybe dinan. these are all over the bay area.
DVSSRT8's car is a 6.1 Stage II car. The HHP 426 strokers are obviously faster than that. I know the 300SRT8 I was in has run a faster time than 11.7. Josh was doing some testing on it with a 90MM TB while I was there so we should see some really good times once its finally dialed in.
butt dynos are usually wrong dude. if the fastest hhp motor that was ever run NA is 11.7, its up to them to get another car to the track to beat that.
They've already beat the 11.7 with the 426 car. If Josh wants to post up the timeslip then that's up to him.
