Well for the last week the brake squeel coming from the passenger side has been much worse and today I had enough and removed the pads only to discover that the backing that came with the pads was totally MELTED and about 90% gone, you could see where it had melted and dripped. I used some permatex this time and let it cure for an hour I sure hope it holds up as I have no idea why this happened I have only had them on for 2 months

    That sucks.

I too am curious as to what would cause this???

Glad you had the smarts to investigate though...

Could have given troubles later on.

Interesting. I know many have those pads and that's the 1st issue I'm aware of. I have them on my car.

I couldn't stand the squeel from my stockers so I ditched them for Posi-quiets and they have been squeel free for the last 1000 miles. I'm praying it stays that way. Not to mention I can go a whole week without my wheels being black from brake dust....as borat would say, "VEH NICE"

Did you lube them with anti-squeel before you installed them?

I am one of the few that will sit here and say I support the stockers all the way...after the last TSB I havent had a problem since and that was probably over 12,000 miles ago....

I agree, but if you want a comparable aftermarket pad for significantly less $$$ try the EBC Yellow stuffs.

The temperature of those pads are incorrect for your application and weight. Try going to a softer pad, or one with a lower temperature.

Try this company they are who I use
