Clean looking car. Why the custom tower brace? Purely for looks, or is it functional (ie better than stock, or clearance issues from other mods)?

Well the cam was meant to go in at a 113. I have no idea why it was ground at a 107. There is a couple guys that'd like to see how she'd do at 110. But both Stu and his tuner suggested setting it at 113 and maybe push it back a tad to 114 to move the band up. The only reason I set it at 112 is that was the most retarded bushing I had and I didn't feel like making a new one. So for right now after some tuning and track times, I'll revisit that.

BTW, I did check valve to piston clearance and the intake was .090 and the exhaust .183.

DUUUUUUUUHAHAHAHA. AAAAAAAaa ya, i guess it has been that way hasn't it. :cry2:

Thanks and ya, I built it to clear the Hilborn injectors and it's totally functional.

Nice man, I can appreciate the custom work and prep that went into that. I am all about the details myself and have an engine bay similar to yours where you can eat off it. I detail it every time I wash my car. Its not dual TB's or anything but at least it stays clean...haha.

I would find out a little more on how the cam was built, I personally think that if you have to use degree pins on a cam it is the wrong cam for the car....

Not bashing FRI, but from what I hear they were still learning a lot 6 months to a year ago...FWIW
