I didn't want to confuse them...No ram head, No C.H.A.R.G.E.R., No Hemi, ... it's just SRT8 to the left, SRT8 to the right, SRT8 when you're LOSING. And the M3 convert I saw probably wasn't brand new, it was new enough that it had the vents on the fender which I think is 2005+
Yea, that would be the last gen. Inline 6, 333 horse and only 200 something torque ... which is why at 60 they're a dead dog!
LMAO. I'm going to have to schedule some bay area kill time when I go up to the parents (chico) for x-mas. I used to rip up the 280/380(?) years back when one of my friends lived off Westbough. Nothing like coming to the top of the hill and watching the fog blow over. I5 to the 52 west, 101 North... enter killbox Alpha.... My mom was in the stanford med center for a lung transplant this year (doing good) and it's crazy that a "beater" car in Palo Alto is $80k. At a red light near the hospital it was nothing to see over $1,000,000 blue book worth of cars setting there.
That's what I was talking about bro, this area is crazy! I'm down in the south bay in the Los Gatos/Saratoga area and not a day goes by I don't see a Ferrari or Porsche or something like that. Keeping up with the Jones around here is impossible, lol!
You know what's crazy Tam is my buddy lives in Tracy and you know what he keeps seeing out there? Lambos. Unbelievable. 2 or 3 different ones. I keep telling him they're just passing threw but he's sure they live there. Now who buys a Murcielago or Gallardo and then moves to Tracy, lol!!
I'm still a grinning fool. Now we need to get some anti-rain mojo going so I can make a pass down the track! All this rain lately, it's a conspiracy!
Sounds like a blast! not the part about your mom, of course. Hope she's doing OK!! Come on out to the Woodward Dream Cruise sometime! Or better yet, the Cruizin Telegraph event (less cops, and less crowded). I've seen uncounted questionable street legal 10 second racers with full mag slicks on the road pull up next to me at a light. So loud you literally cannot hear yourself think. Then a pair of Ford GTs (not mustangs) pull up at the next light. Then vintage Challengers and Corvettes. It's truly amazing, and you really have to see it to believe it.
Well, there's an exotic car dealer just down the street from me, so I see them test driving the lambos all the time. In the past couple of years, I've seen a Carrera GT, that GT3, two Bentleys, a Rolls, a couple of Lambos (one coming out of the Best Buy parking lot), a ferrari (parked at McD's), and a Maserati. Plus a crap load of SRTs, though none of them seem to notice me! So yeah, assload of crazy cars out here. I feel like small taters most of the time.
Thanks to the beauty of UTube we know that a lot of people driving these top shelf rides can't even keep them pointed in a safe direction, forget about power shifting a 9,500 rpm V12. Our cars might cost less than their swimming pool, but their going to have a front row view of our SRT8 logo'd backside after the onramp merges. :thumb2:
Well, the GT3 owner was just playing with me... got up to 120ishness before we let off for traffic. He followed me through traffic and waved and smiled when I signaled I had to exit. Note: And this was a while back and since then I've kept it to at or near the speed limit. This happened on a freeway at midday, no traffic coming down the Altamont Pass...and he started it.
As a general rule I find Porsche drivers to be pretty skilled compared to the rest of the rich car driving crowd. They look at themselves in the rearview mirror and say... "Porsche... there is no substitute...."
Well, keep an eye out for the ones with the big ass spoiler.. this thing was just a few stickers shy of a pro race car. Could've done warp speed in second gear.
I looooooooove Porsches, to me they're the ultimate. 911 Porsches that is, not Boxsters. Had one try to run me the other day. Not quite sure what that guy was thinking  Oh yea I do ... "I just got my azz handed to me by a station wagon!" :towel:
