This guy posted his run on the red site. He is confident that his next run will be in the 10's. The Jeeps are coming on strong lately. If you listen to the announcer he said he has seen one run as fast as 10.95 at that track. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eRLKtcfgZWU
Very nice run! But 10.99 is world's away from 11.33 seconds. Probably needs at least 50 more HP at the rear wheels. But that's already VERY strong no matter if/when he hits 10's.
Here are his post on the red site... "Sixty foots were 1.67 on motor, spraying after the gate. We nailed a 7.1 pass @97 and missed third. Came back and blew the tires off on Nitrous out the hole. Then ran a 7.3 eighth /11.33 @123mph. This is with 635 rear wheel. Looks like we won't hit the 10's till Friday now." "Tranny is doing fine, we had a scare on the dyno as the fluid level was too high. I run a 185 shot. Friday has bigger jets. This is a 426 Stroker. Missed third cause we were paying attention to lane 2 turbo Truck and not the shift point." "They weren't real bad, 86 degree 49% humidity, DA corrected 11.01, but it's not a real time slip to me." "All we have to hit is 7.1 or 7.0 Friday and we'll get it."
...I say congrats....... ...but as stated 10.99999 is a mile away from an 11.30! I believe it was said he has a built 426. 7.1@97 is hauling in the 1/8th, but picking up that to get 10s is gonna be hard. Good luck to all, and be careful with the juice.
:nuke: Get in line, Im going to the track Saturday night and intend on trying to take that title on a stock long block. If I dont run it, I promise I will be picking parts off the tracks ground cause Im spraying between 250-300. I think the high is only 90 on Saturday so its going to be tough. Yes .34, it going to take alot of ground. Since he is in Florida, he is prolly already facing the problem I will be facing. The Heat :nuke: BTW- I will film your video tomorrow :future: You going to make it Saturday ? I need a film guy, the GF wont go out in the heat. Gimme a call tomorrow, Im on vacation and havent been on the boards or computer much in the last week. John
Holy shit John, please get the runs on film and I wish you the best of luck. Make sure everything is perfect before the runs. Check the plugs, get the activation points perfect and run straight C12...screw the cats:worthy: I wanna see you post some badass times:bigwink:
