I have a set of KWV1's on the way. Hoping to get installed by the end of the week. How is everyone running theres? I have heard once you get the rear installed there is not much adjusting them. I was thinking just adjust all the way down then leveling the front. Any tips? Pics of your stance would be nice too.
Jesus christ. Its a miracle. With all the know it alls around here no advice???????? Just joking and bumping it to the top
Yeah I am pretty sure I am gonna set up like Legmaker to start but wanted second opinion just in case.
Hahahhaha, give it time bro, someone will pipe in. One thing to remember bout the "C" is there's only a little over 1000 members here, not 10,000 like some other forums!! I was gonna post for ya but I have the Mopar kit and even tho it's stamped "KW" right on it I believe it's actually quite a bit different (from my talks with Rick (Bud) about it). I didn't install mine either so I'm not exactly sure where it sits but ... my mechanic told me my rears are down almost all the way but the fronts still have a ways to go (my car sits 1 1/2" lower in front and 1" lower in back than stock).
Be careful with the settings. They are Canadian and you might not be able to understand the system until you've beer bonged at least a 12 pack.
Don't ask BUD! You don't want your ride to look like it should be on the cover of a 4X4 magizine like his.................
I'd have to say Legmaker (an EQ brother) would be the best source for info., as he has the V1's... not the V2's. DAM! This coming from a guy with a predator and zero adjustment parameters! That takes balls! :magic:
It is better then someone that has 4 mods compared to someone that has several mods! Break it down however you want, but you should keep you pie hole shut, "SPARKY"!
I've got 1/2 the $$$ in my car as you do yours, and I still move faster. Define "Mod". Asshole! LMAO! Livening Ryan up is easy... either smack talk him, or even better, mention food.
What type of measurement are you looking for? On the coil itself or from the ground up the wheel centerline to the fender? Are you keeping the stock wheels? I think if you adjust the rears all the way down, might be somewhat too low - IMO.
Shouldn't be. Ride stiffness depends on dampening, not ride height. Or in Ryan's case stiffness depends on whether its a worn out or tight butthole.
Yeah stock wheels and tires. I was speaking of threads on the coilover. Or if its just bottomed out all the way.
ryan - sorry for the late response......been a little tied up the last couple of days!!! rear - ALL THE WAY DOWN!!!! set the reat adjuster at its lowest point!! i can not stress this enough!!! you will be sorry if you do not!!! fronts - about 3/4" of threads showing on the adjustments from all the way down. this will put a slight rake to the car without the front end acting like a snowplow!!! the good thing is, the fronts ARE relatively easy to adjust even with the tires on. just jack up the front end to get the tires off the ground and turn the wheel. loosen the allen screw that holds the adjustment ring in place and use the nifty little spanner wrench that comes with the kit to adjust until you get things where you like it!!! the ride will still be good, and not harsh like the stock set up. if you are doing it yourself, have air tools handy. you will need an impact gun to loosen the front top strut/shock nut. also, a good spring compessor is must for the front!!!!
Think I am gonna puss out and pay someone to do it. If I wait till I have time and my buddy is off to use his shop and tools it might be a month. I aint that patient. I know any time you adjust suspension they recommend getting an alignment. How much was yours off after you did yours? You have any profile pics of your car so I can see the drop a little better. Thanks
