Mobil 1 Oil Filter Vs. Napa Gold vs K&N Gold or???

    I actually use the K&N Oil Filter just cause it's easy to tighten down on the SRT-4 and isn't much room to use a filter wrench.

    I go between Mobil 1 and K&N. i have been very happy with both. te only think i know is that Fram is crap all the way. never have and never will have one on my truck!

    I've heard the same thing Keith. Stay far far away from any Fram or Pennzoil filters.

    I think Wix makes K&N? and i have heard that Wix is the best?

    Wix makes the new Napa Gold's as well and I've heard of vendors are switching to these.

    You can buy the Mopar filter at Walmart for 4.97 !

    Mopar filters are also said to be junk if you look at some of the studies. They are made by Fram I think but I could be wrong on this. When I get a chance, I'll look it up.

    Mopar filters are made by Purolator not Fram.I use Mopar or Napa Gold in my cars and truck.

    Hmm. Purolator One's are supposed to be right up with the best from what I've read.

    i read that mopar gets their filters from whoever depending on the batches.

    motorcrafts are Purolator ones.....i've used a motorcraft on my rams a few times.

    "The point is that Mopar filters are like a box of chocolates; you never know what you are going to get".

    I got both Mobil 1 and Napa gold filters. Haven't compared the two, but as long as you stay on top of the regularly scheduled oil changes it shouldn't even matter which filter you use. Unless you live in a dusty area........

    Our engine builder (Tony Bischoff) told us to only use Napa Gold.
