It sounded EVIL on startup. I asked MatFab if they had the catback off of it or something. He said, "Nope, full exhaust is on". After it settled down a bit, it was more tame but I was pretty surprised at how a new 426 rumbled that that. Sheer music guys.

Latest Update: I spoke to Brian on the phone last night and they made their way down to South Carolina and were not very far from Memphis for the Pump Gas Drags. He sounded relaxed and somewhat jovial (they were having some beers at Ruby Tuesdays lol). After some perplexing issues they were having earlier in the day...with some crazy running around and a glimmer of luck, the beast was taken care of and awoke to be a veritable monster!! Yup, it was running and pulling HARD!!! I believe he said that the nitrous setup would not be ready in time for the competition on Saturday but seemed to be quite impressed with where they were at. Congrats Brian and hope you blow some doors off with that thing!

 

I'll let the guys tell the story. The thing is a beast for sure....the TCM wigs out.

 

I sware that thing has LIFTED the fronts off the ground... WOW!!!

Brian just posted these on the Cherokee site. He didn't have his cable so had to take a pic of on the TV. It's definitely making serious power but short shifts and also goes into limp mode. Best run was right around an 11.8 at 120+....tough when it shifts into 3rd right after launching lol. TCM needs some serious tuning to allow a proper run on this truck because it's making over 650 rwh without the N20 hooked up.

That is some SERIOUS Torque to lift the fronts up. WOW!!!

 

I talked to Brian earlier tonight. He siad he thought it practically lifted a tire off the ground.

But Holy Crap!!!

That right there is one historic picture. I know no LX based SRT-8 has done that yet. That's got to be the first street legal, modren Hemi car to lift a tire off the pavement.

LOL....most 4wd's need to go bush to get their Jeep flexing like that. This one just goes to the local strip to do it and doesn't have to get dirty.....
