Well it appears my low speed fan stopped working. I checked the fuses in the fuse panel located in the engine bay...there's 3 associated with the fans according to the manual and they look fine. I double checked my fan settings with the Diablo and the low speed fan should come on around 185 degrees and should come on with the A/C regardless of temps. The fan doesn't come on at any engine temp and doesn't come on with the A/C. I'm going to have to get the dealer to check it out, but I forget what the factory fan temps are supposed to be. I believe its like 209 for the low speed fan and 217 for the high speed fan. Are these right and if not what are they? I can't put the stock tune back in without wiping out my CMR tune and I don't want to run the stock tune with my cam anyways. I just want to put the fan settings back to stock so they don't notice I've messed with them.
I would swap fuses anyways. Besides, aren't fans usually on a relay?? Last I checked, you can't "look" at a relay to see if it's good.....
i had this happen too. turned out that the plug on the fans was actually disconnected. check that before draging it into the dealer.....
Bump C'mon guys...someone out there knows the factory fan temp settings pre Diablo. I want to know the exact fan settings so when I take it in they don't have a reason to ask me any questions about whether or not I've got a 180tstat and have the fans coming on sooner.
I would think it shouldn't matter as to when the fan comes on. The fan should be a warranty item either way. But I know what you mean. I wanna say on at 203 and off at 215???
What...GOD doesn't know this!!!!!! What's the world coming to! lol I guess I'll have to go back and read multiple threads to see. Thanks GOD!!!!
I'll dig through the manual... should be a diagnostic for checking the relays or something. Under thermostat they say that the thermostat should stay closed to insure a minimum temp of 192 - 199 and that it should be FULL open at 220 after which the temp is controlled by the fans. hmmm.
Seriously though...noone knows the factory fan settings? Maybe I'll throw a post on the Diablo Forum and see if Mike knows.
