Hey guys, there is a real lack of AWD dynos here in MN (and around the country for that matter). And i was just wondering if i could get decent pulls out of my truck by going with 2WD, and could i tune properly as well in the 2WD mode, with the predator?
http://www.dbptuning.com Thats a good place to use for tuning you will just have to email your tuner....
Jred you have a Jeep? Disconnect the front driveshaft problem solved. Tuning will be irrelevant 4wd vs 2wd except the price from the dyno operator. You will see higher rwhp gains if you dyno 2wd vs a guy who dynos 4wd because of the drivetrain loss. I recommend staying away from email tunes. Each vehicle is unique to itself. Put 5 bone stock Jeeps on the same dyno and the all will yield different results. Find a good tuner and stick with him/her.
Yeah, i already got a CMR tune e-mailed from B&G, that i dropped $230 on, but i figure i can squeeze more out of her if i get it on the dyno. Would most dyno shops know how to tune my truck in just a bit more with the predator? It seems like a pretty simple device.
You unplug the transfer case, no need to disconnect the front drive shaft. Dave can easily tune your car as good as a person there, with simple emails back and forth while dynoing. Datalogging is your friend
Where are you going to go? I dont think there is anyone is MN that knows how to tune with a Predator. I would just do some datalogging/dyno and have dave email you some new tunes...
Yeah he is by far the best tuner around....and can get you damn near perfect without even being there
