huge bummer rick!!!! don't feel bad, when i recently had my exhaust re-done, the guy found that the first people used 2 1/4" pipe on the insides of all the tubing to join everything!!! my exhaust buddy had to cut and dig small azz pipe from inside my x-pipes!!!!
you would be correct dave........ wow, you and i agreed on something!!! heheheehehe who loves ya davey boy!!!!
this is probably one of the funniest quotes i have heard out of momo in a while!!!! dahahahahahaahaha
hehehehe. Cool Chris! I'm sure you'll have a good time. I'm just breakin' your balls man lol...I went last weekend and the track prep was non-existent but still pulled of a flat 13 at 110+ with a 2.18 60' lol....it was cold too. 55 degrees.
Mmm... tiny hairy Tijuana balls... Mmmmmmmmm, think I'll get me some! He's on probation here... not by any of us, but wife-imposed house chore probation. Thanks Chris. When you coming out again, BTW?!?! I might add that to my sig until Ryan changes his ways.
Thanks for the vote of confidence Momo...We'll do yours next friday, if you want...as long there are no welds.... If the hobby shop had a working welder, we would have just cut off the old cats and welded the new one in. No problem. Buuuuuuut....They had three guys give us three different answers on the welder...yes we have one, yes but it doesn't work, yes but it needs gas.....nobody even knew what kind it was.... But, I already called a friend of mine and got Rick a hookup for a guy to do the cutting/welding for us.......
:thumb: Sleep is for the weak.... Seriously though, I like working on cars when I can, and I've never worked on a Charger before, let alone an SRT-8. So it was a good time, anyways. Besides, we got your oil changed, so it wasn't a total waste.
UPDATE: I was WAY to anxious to get this done to wait any longer. So, I drove around southbay this morning where most of the local auto shops are. I found a place that would do the install for me...after some interrogating on who I was and where I worked, lol. The ended up have to cut about three inches of pipe out and welding a new piece in between the x-pipe and cats. The welds looked perfect! The driver side front o2 sensor that Jeff and I couldn't get undone ended up breaking at the shop...so they found a new one and had it at their shop within an hour. The car does what is advertised....a little raspier, a stronger pull above 3k rpms. Jeff, Drew, and Dan - Thanks for offering your hookups and services. Having a wife and a baby I decided to do what logistically made sense. The wife only had to drive a couple miles to pick me up and that made sense!!! Thanks guys!!!
Sweet deal. If you had used my hookup, I would have toted you around in the monster neon!!!!! But not too fast...cause while my wife was driving yesterday, she had to wait to get to the gas pump (it was low...) and when she got there, the pump had no Premium..... So, what does she do?? She said fuck it, and put in regular.... No boost for 250 miles for me......
YOU married a chick version of me!! hehe Question to the panel: Is there any method on the amount of fuel I need t add at the different RPM ranges? I see anywhere between 3-5%. Should I start with 3% in the LOW and MID ranges and add 4% to the HIGH range?
I would start with 3% across the board and data log. This is what I did for mine, moes, adams, and ralphs. Once you look at the logs then adjust. If you need help you know Ill lend a hand.
john - why do you guys have to add fuel???? i thought you were running a custom tune from dave @ B&G???? wouldn't he take into account your hi-flows, or does the type of gas you guys are forced to use make the difference???? just curious.....
