Oh, I know so you crazy Floridian um, Floridian...er... Besides, don't you have to make it out to a quarter mile track at least once? lol. jk buddy. I know you're more into show than go. MUHAAHAAHAHAAHAHAAHAHAHA!
No, no, not at all. Just depends on what you want. Let's say we have someone who measures things in "about this much". Then probably cliping a tail pipe sensor to your tips would be just fine. No holes or welding required at all. "How's your a/f?" "It's fine. It's about in the middle"
I think it may be time for a critical alert here. Anyone have those guy's cell number to give them a call? I'm about ready to dispatch my kid's pet search turtle.
Alright fellas...it did NOT happen. Jeff and I completely removed everything south of the headers and laid it on the ground. We started to grind away at the shitty weld job attaching the cats to the x-pipes. Apparantly the guy who installed them went by the same philosophy of non knot tieing folks...."if you can't tie a knot...tie a lot!". He had so much weld that it seeped deep into the joint and we couldn't dislodge the pipes. So, we cut our losses and put everything back together and changed the oil. It WAS a good learning experience just the same...so no big deal. If Jason's or Ryans are NOT welded together I have NO doubt that we can install theirs.
Holy crap! THEY'RE ALIVE! Let's see, 6 hours to drop the exhaust, grind a little, and hang it back up? Did we retire to the bar on the way home? And where are the friggin pics?
So? What's the plan now? "Gees, that didn't go so well... Let's try Momo's car tomorrow!" Now you got time to swing by a real muffler shop and get a bung installed in the cat. (Don't use Chris's guy)
Let me see...that ticket at the shop said 2 hours and 15 minutes! That six 5 hours since posting consisted of 50 miles of driving, waiting for a lift to open up, doing the car shit to include an oil change...standing in line checking out tools, paying, picking up a kid from daycare, showering, calling the courthouse and waiting on hold for a while, coming downstairs, cracking a beer, and sitting down to write you fucks!!! lol
Are you suing the guy who welded your pipes? or did you guys break something big at the shop.oh: I'm trying to think of how you're going to fix the weld. You're probably going to have to have it cut on both sides and weld another piece in there?
I think im going to go with the Magnaflow catback and Magnaflow hi flow cats, is this what I have to look forward too? What catback do you have?
I don't think so Tony. Rick has Zoomers "catback" that didn't start at the cats. I think maybe he had somebody rube goldberg an xpipe on there... I'm thinking if you get the Magnaflow cats and Magnaflow catback it should reach from the headers all they way to the tips without needing to add any pipe.
We'll get pics... of my arse! Oh yeah, Rick, thanks for calling me back about how it went... now I'm relegated down with all these other lowly souls and have to read it on the forums? WTF?!?! LMAO! So, before we look into trying to do the others, we need to take a gander under my sled to see if there are welds... why waste a trip to the base if we can't do it. BTW: Drew got in touch with his guy.
I just want to give a shout out to Jeff (Master_1011) for really helping me out and showing me a lot of things about my car today. He has been working nights lately and took time off from his sleep schedule to try to get my cats on. Thanks buddy, I owe you!!!
Jeff's a good guy. However, I'm not giving him props for shit yet until he helps me put mine on... or at least try! On second thought... Jeff's a relatively new EQ member and has already shown for M&Gs and helped Rick with his cats... Ryan ain't done shit! Actually, Ryan's done shit-negative.
