I think I might be screwed. I remember when I had my Zoomers installed the guy tac welded a couple parts. I just crawled out from under my car and it looks like it is welded just aft of the clamps holding the x pipes and cats!!!
Haha. I've seen the results when you try to run a gas engine on diesel. I've never seen what happens when you try to run a diesel engine on gas...
Wait...What comes with these high flow cats?? Is it just the cats or is there a whole mid-pipe section???
If I had access to a welder, this would be no issues..... I had to MIG weld a buddies door onto his car once....long story.....
Stock cats bolt directly to the headers. Then there is pipe (part of the cat) back to the suitcase or X pipe. Good question. Are the hi-flows the same length as the stock ones? Or at least what you have on there now?
We'll take a look at it tomorrow. Worst case scenario, we don't put them in. But, I think we'll get a better look tomorrow.
Ya know, this whole thing did sort of come up on a moments notice. And no one ever answered the question of where they came from. Can we assume these are Magnaflow hi-flow cats FOR AN SRT8?
Screw it...it's worth a try. I always get the lemon parts! First, it was the old version KW's, and a used DC strut tower brace GSM sold me. Now it's the ghetto welded x-pipe the muffler shop had to use to install my Zoomers....cat backs my ass!
