I got the Jeep today all to myself. After all the fluids were changed to high performance synthetics this morning I picked her up and we were off. I am still runnning the Diablo "canned" 91 CAI tune, I put 60-70 good highway miles on the jeep and then I had a little fun! All I can say is that 60mph to 100mph happens in a blink of an eye, and the jeep pulls like a freight train in the upper rpms. From 3500rpm to Redline is simply amazing!!! The cam complements the heads greatly, from a dead stop traction will be a bit more of an issue than before, and pulls very well in the upper rpms. Not once did I feel a flat spot from 3500rpm up. I will have my CMR tune installed tomorrow. I want to thank Steve (sgtstanko) for delivering on his word that I would not be dissappointed. For a Daily Driver with smooth idle, I am very pleased with my choice on the heads and cam. I really noticed that the low end power is very high when running around town in traffic, the gas pedal no longer feels "spongy".......I touch it with my big toe and away we go. Here is a short video of the start up........ [/IMG] More video and E.T's to come!
Sounds good in the video. Any chance to get some performance numbers? Dyno or track? I'm anxious to see the difference between before and after since I'm considering the same mods.
I am going to try to make it to Pittsburgh Raceway Park on Saturday or Sunday weather permitting. I really want to see how it runs with the CMR tune. My best E.T. to date has been a 12.98.
No plans for a dyno session, where I live there are very few "all wheel" dynos. There is one 80 miles from my house but I am heading out to the LX event in June and they are dynoing cars out their for $75 or something. I may potentially do it then if it is an all wheel dyno, I don't want to disconnect the 4 wheel system.
Very nice! Man, it purrs like a kitten and sounds totally stealthy until you hit it and it fricken roars like an angry lion!! Sounds awesome and I'm sure it goes just as well. You must be excited to get it dialed in too since this feeling will only get better. Congrats Kayce!
It was my sorry computer at home last night, sounds GREAT I am jealous. Hey how fast (in seconds) does it take you to go from 60-100 now just comparing
Jeep sounds awesome! I like the blacked-out engine bay also. Have fun bringing that track ET down. Look foward to the results.
