    WOW!

I'd suck that M3's crank fo sho! I even told the wife that if she wants a BMW, that's the one.

No, silly, because his chin could cradle 3 sets of man balls... whereas Chris' can only handle one at a time!

using that way of thinking, i would venture to guess your a evo and sti man. great performance to cost ratio, yet they suck ass in the looks and awe dept.

but i already know that you are due to your past posts on the subject. really dude, if i saw someone driving a gtr, i couldnt care less. if i saw someone driving an ethanol z06, a viper, a 911 turbo, etc, i would be much more impressed.

this is glorified g37 imho. i mean the car designers actually went to the designer of gran tourismo for insider help.....i mean how freaking sad is that?

The GT-R sucks in the way it looks? The Z06 ain't no head turner. Doesn't really matter to me how BADASS they look. You're right, I'm not one who seeks out approval from anyone, yet alone from any turd on the road. I only care about my reputation from coworkers...which is a pretty critical audience, friends and family! YOU are a dork Steve....always have been! :friends:

Sorry Steve, I'm def not trying to pick on you so don't take this the wrong way ok but ... have you seen the tests on this car? It absolutely kicks azz!! I'm not a Nissan fan at all and God knows I hate ricers more than anything on the planet but this thing is flat out nasty!! Straight line or twisties, the numbers coming out for this car are insane (like R&Ts road course test of it vs. the Z06 and 911 Turbo where it spanked the hell out of them) especially when you consider the price. If it took a starting point of a G37 and help from the designers of Gran Turismo to get there so what, it sure seems to have worked. Imo.

the car looks like a honda accord with a body kit. nothing special at all about its looks or stance on the road.

its funny how you say that you dont care how badass they look yet drive you currently drive the meanest looking vehicle on the road! :sly:

rick, i am a dork though. you know it, i know it and my family and friends know it....but dont tell anyone ok? :baby:

scott dont worry about me, i love to be debated with. i would never think youre picking on me thus i would never take anything the wrong way.

the perf is very good for its price class, i will def give it that. what it is though is a car built from from a company that would rather throw a turbo (or 2) into the mix than come out with a new engine specifically for high revving and racing then call it a GT-R.

to me, this is a weak throw to the public, a quick release because they couldnt get the proper engine built in time for a release when this car would have zero competition for car of the year. instead, they release it a year before the big z06 to steal some thunder for a second. if you have read into this project for as long as i have, you would know that they were actually going to come out with a 4.5 or 4.4 liter v8 that would redline upwards of 8k rpm. supposedly this engine would be a lot like the ferraris, lotus, etc that all live their life at 4k - 8k rpm.

you know me scott, i think that all factory FI is a def bitch move. FI should be left to the aftermarket. that way the true car fans can mod their car to their exact specs. also this new ecu that they have restricting the tuning is gay to the max.

as far as design goes, i hate japanese animation and this car is designed like a cartoon car straight out of a comic book. but why go to the designer of a video game for help? go get some help from your gt team.

Good points Steve!! :thumb: For me tho I guess it's much more simple. 2 things. One, it just looks awesome in person (imo) and I'm not into the "ricer" look at all. Maybe it was the shock of seeing it up on the display at the auto show when I didn't expect to see it at all but it just looked ... sweet. Two, it's performance is awesome. Personally I don't really care bout where it came from (all Porsche's trace their lineage back to the VW Bug, lol!) just as long as it works and this thing works in spades!! I hear your points and agree but for me it looks good and goes good so I give it a :thumb: (but it's not like I have $80k burning a hole in my pocket to run out and buy one anyway, lol, besides, I think for that money I'd get a Z06)

Hahaha, not a bad idea at all!! I tell you this, I like all cars pretty much (cept fart canned ricers of course), I'm not really a Mopar guy or a Bow Tie guy or a Blue Oval guy, I'm a car guy but I am biased about one thing ... a V-8!! There's something just so RIGHT about a sweet sounding V-8, you know? The sound, the feel, the power, it's got it all and I love it!! Turbo that 4 or 6 all you want, even throw me a nice V-10 or V-12 and I'll STILL take a V-8 any day of the week, ESPECIALLY a Hemi one!!

BTW Steve, so from your comment on jap ani I'm assuming you're not gonna be first in line to see the Speed Racer movie are ya, lol!!

Personally, does it really matter what the vehicle looks like when it kicks ass on the strip/track? Heck, Wayne Gretzky is an ugly SOB, yet at the same time, the best hockey player ever. Who'd you rather have on your team? Wayne or some model on skates?!?!

Don't get me wrong, looks play an important role in vehicle purchases, as well as in life in general... but that's not the issue at hand. The issue is whether or not its a performer.

i care about both equally, if i didnt care much for looks, i would have gone with an evo.

momo, you bought a mustang gt remember? what inspired you to pull the trigger on that purchase? looks, performance or both?
