Anyone use them yet?Anyone know if they have boosted the output on them yet and not just a waste of money?I am having a really hard time getting info on these and I really would like to be able to open my plugs back up!

Erik,All I can say is this. When I was at Sema last year I was speaking to a SRT rep
at the Mopar booth. This came up in converstaion while discussing the new goodies that were out for the Hemi's at the show.He assured me that there would be no difference except the pretty red coils He stated that the 6.1's had a pretty hot spark as it was.He actually gave me numbers but I dont remember.Maybe Cam remembers he was standing next to me.hope this helps

The MSD's are garbage for the SRT-4....The SRT-8 stock coils probably put out a hot enough spark to where you won't need an aftermarket ignition.

See,thats where we disagree.I have seen on cam head SRT's needing to close the plug gap because of spark blow out.Not to mention having to close it up for nitrous.I would prefer a hotter spark and be able to leave the plug gapped at .050.Unfortunately it doesn't look like we will see that anytime soon.

Check out pulstar pulse plugs Erik...I don't know if you've read anything about them, but from their description and reviews, they don't sound like a snake oil.

    Now those seem like...well...snake oil.

100 bucks for a set of four?? No thanks. Let me find a HUGE thread about them from the SRTforums.....

I haven't heard any real #'s, I have also heard the SRT guys said they were no better..nice guys with pride in their products no doubt, however they are paid to say that..just like they say the Mopar CAI the best one, and there is no need for a catch can. lol
I will say this..the MSD Hemi stuff launch dates kept getting delayed..so my hope is they are working on making sure the products are a real measurable improvement over stock before they are out. On the Ford stuff we do we rarely need to use aftermarket coils even on high HP applications because the stock setup is sufficient, so I would think the stock 6.1's would be good for most, unless you are doing something exotic.

    Side note:
I don't want better coils, spark plugs, or wires because I expect more HP.
I want them to make sure I keep the hp I have (with a solid repeatable and effecient spark) throughout the RPM range.
I am not really talking about plug temperature, this is a different art and IS HP related. But really here you are still ony dialing in the HP you have.

Don't shoot the messenger but I talked to MSD today. Unfortunately they don't have much more info they will give out. I asked them if they had any info I could share with customers showing how much better than stock these were. He said they won't publish that because they do alot of work for the Big 3, and don't want to upset them. So basically they say they are better than stock, lower impedance, better spark, and will produce better measurable results. I guess we will have to see how they do for Steve and others to get some hard data.

Agreed. Kris/Lisa, you may want to pass it on to MSD that they're not going to sell a whole lot of these without some hard data. That's a lot of coin just to dress up my engine bay (until proved otherwise).

    Trust me that was expressed!
As Steve said he has some on order from us, so hopefully this will be a good test bed to see what they can do.

errr, ummm, MSD: "We've decided to develop, test, and market these. We want you to buy them but we can't tell you what they are because it would tick off some of our large accounts".... Even if it's true, you gotta admit that's pretty funny.
