Driving home today met up with a silver Nissan Skyline GT. He pulled up and goosed it a little and we both jumped on it. I pulled away from him the whole time on two different jumps. He lives down towards my area so I met him at a light. He hung pretty good for a while from the start. Spoke with him before he turned off at the next light and he was pretty cool. Said he had a Procharger, Corsa exhaust and was 393 at the rear wheels. He didn't say how much boost he was pushing, probably not a lot. Cool run though. Eastlake guys, he lives in the Otay Ranch area if you want some! Lol!

It wasnt a skyline right? since those arent out yet...it was a 350z? Cause yeah even super charged they arent a match for us. I love stomping on the stock ones that think they are bad ass. I ran into one with a bottle and he was cool but couldnt believe i wasnt more modded.
The US Skyline is not out yet. The 2009 has 480HP, 15" brakes all around. I've seen some clones around, or Japan spec. Take a picture next time. I saw one in the Pomona area off of the 71 in March. It was flat black. Looked like an Altima coupe. Said Skyline on it. It was well done.
they are all over the bay area. ive seen a few in the last couple years ive been living here. they of course are all japan spec because the us spec arent out yet. does that make a diff? nope, not really seeing as the jap spec skylines are supposed to be much faster than the us spec.
Drew, how the HELL is your car so fast with only exhaust?!?! Plus you got that awesome stereo adding all that weight in the back, how can you be so dang fast?? Our cars are quick stock but yours seems to be EXTRA quick, some kind of special EQ ingrediant you got in there maybe?? Never mind, I don't wanna know, hahhahahaa. Yea guys, like Steve said above, those things are all over the place up here. They're the imported Jap version of the older model, not that new one coming out. That thing will eat our cars for lunch!! These old ones tho not so much, not even sure most are awd.
I'm guessing it was a Infinity G35 coupe with a supercharger.... Skylines are turbocharged. :bigwink:

No it coulda been an older model imported Skyline that the guy slapped an s/c on in place of the turbo but I could be wrong. I'd like to think Drew knows the dif between a 350Z (or G35) and one of those old Skylines though but again, I could be wrong, lol! Oh trust me.... I've had my arse handed to me a time or two. A CF WRX STI and a Neon SRT-4 (Modded) bothe left me like I was standing still on two different occasions..Lol! I've just been pretty lucky at getting off the line with my fellow SRT-8"s... so far. My time is coming though I'm sure.
Ya, looked them up and it definitely wasn't the R Type one. This guy has the chrome letters on a 350 GT Infinity G35 type that say "Skyline". Looks stock enough, but could have easily been stuck on. He said he had a S/C on it but didn't say if he bought it that way, or if he added it. Sounded pretty nice with the Corsa exhaust though. Probably not the real deal though... I'm sure the real one would eat my lunch.
I'll have to go look it up. It looked just like a silver Infinity G35 to me with Skyline letters on the back.
