well we sit up at 5,500 and the DA is around 7,500—7,800
our track is uneven and unpreped
at this altitude from sealevel we lose around 45-50hp
it depends on the weather.

and to me dragracing is about how much mods you have on your car.
all the other types of racing is about driving.

 

i have gone to some driving schools. most involve armored suburbans but a couple have involved high speed chasing around race tracks, so all the fundamentals are taught. i find myself a compotent driver around the twisties, but certainly not one of the best. i really love it though! i guess i dont have the balls to try and make sharp high speed turns in a car i spent 50k on plus mods.

 

iv never raced in a course...is that fun? all we have near my house is a 1/8 mile..

 

i loved it even though i did it in a p.i. crown vic. those things can handle like a mofo believe it or not.

 

I hear ya!!!
dirt is one of my favorite surfaces because of all the different surface and elevation changes
it always keeps you guessing and aways has your full attention.

Lateral G's are a totally different fealing
ive riden in some fast drag cars but
it just doesnt compare to your car being push in corners

 

but i think for road racing my car wouldnt be to much fun, compared to markus 300 you could drift etc..mine just grabs!

 

if i had the money for tires every other day id try drifting

 

new mexico has alot of dirt places.
roadcourses we have 2 of them Arroyo Seco, and Sandia Motorsports Park.
autoX theres events happing all over the state.

 

awe thats cool! i dunno if so cal has any road courses..

 

on open track days there are a few Subies SUVs out there.

yea RWD drifting is fun, something my car cant do, but i enjoy my rear end sliding out. its a blast.
