Hey guys I am running the GSM fan switch settup and I took the car for a spin and when I got hom eth efan will not shut off. Does not matter if the car is shut off o rnot the low speed fan keeps running... Only way to disable it is to unplug the battery or pull the fuse. Any ideas???

Dave...welcome back buddy! Do you have a voltage meter? It sounds like you have a hot wire or a couple of the wires have shorted together.

No I don't but I agree with you. I am going to have to take her in tomorrow to the garage and see what trouble shooting we can do....

Did you check the GSM switch? or is the hot (+12vdc) to the switch turned off by the ignition key?

Isn't there a relay involved with the ESP/Torque Mangement/GSM Fan Mod" switch or is that for the ESP/TorqueManagement control? If relay is for fan, try unplugging the relay.

HMMM what did you run the power wire too might need to move it to a keyed on power wire.

Something has changed as it didn't do it before. You welded two wires together or your switch failed or something like that. I wouldn't change anything dude...just find out what happened.

Found it. It was the FCM. For those that do not know, the FCM is the stainless steel thing that is attached to your fuse box. It controls your fan relays and when it fails it typically does so in the "on" position so it is constantly connecting power to your fans.

Dunno what caused it. I was thinking it was due to the mod and the fact that I run my fans CONSTANTLY when the engine is on as I have done for the last 2 years. However in doing searches I have found bone stock cars with the same issue.
