Steve from HMS in Inglewood sent it the other day... but I heard Josh and his crew were getting authorized.. Ken
Check out the pics from my 300c on the website www.peddersusa.com Its the silver one... there were actually marks ground into the subframe, and apparently every car done since min has had the same issues. Torn or broken or ribbed bushes. Also a good idea to look into the Bump Steer correction kit, and for sure the camber kit. My tire wear is perfect now (before the bush kit, and camber kit they replaced a set of tires on warranty saying that it was due to the suspension). I have had my bush kit, and sways, bump steer, and camber kit since November, and loved every aspect. The Springs and shocks were a drastic difference also. Dam much more firm, and sporty feeling, but it is actually more comfortable to drive with less feeling of every bump 3 times. It sucks to the street much better now, and that floaty feeling I used to get even on straight smooth roads is GONE.
i'm having issues with my front suspension, similar to the V2 issues i and alot of others had with there drivers rear. i figured that i would start with the fronts and the back at a later date. a little pricey to do it all at once, especially for just bushings. i just hope it's not too stiff. i already luv the way she handles now.
I have a complete set of the bushes on my car to complement KW's and Hotchkis sways. They will stiffen up your ride quite a lot. As long as you are cool with a sports/track car ride you will be cool with these. However my bushes are on top of other vendors coilovers and sways, so for all I know the full Pedders system is more forgiving. I am absolutely happy with the ride, but I am looking for hard core stuff, too. They are not noisy. Poly is supposed to be bad on noise transmission. I was worried about that too. Hasn't been a problem. My car is driven as hard or harder than Meister's (I know him) over unevenly patched county roads in the mountains. 66k miles on the chassis. Pretty much a worst case for the suspension. I made sure I got my bushings back. Hardly any were torn. A few were damaged but it looked like the damage might have come from prying/beating them out of the car. Best thing to do is get them inspected first if this is a concern before you spend to replace what you think might be bad. Pedders does a 28-point free inspection. The full install is basically a total teardown and reassembly of the suspension. This had the nice side effect of eliminating all noises I had accrued over the years from whaling the crap out of the car since they were torqueing everything down just right and all. This suspension upgrade is a must if you are truly serious about performance. If not, and you don't need replacement bushings, consider that the full bushing set and 2 1/2 days of shop time to put them in ran me about $3700. Spank. But I want every edge I can get and this is part of that commitment. Its a great mod.
Thanks for the write up Matt. For those of you that don't know....this is "the" Matt Robertson!!! LOL
butthead. you blew my cover . Actually I just wanna be a part of the background here. Just hanging out.
You shouldn't have put your engine, hp, and torque in your sig. That and the good writeup was a dead give away! :sly: You should start a thread over here (copy and paste) your full writeup for discussion over here. Great writeup over at LXforums!! :woot:
Alberque -- we need a Pedders Dealer in that area. Our primary criteria is a shop that has eXtreme customer service running deep in their business culture. We can teach people suspension. We can not change the culture of the shop. Btw, we do reward those that facilitate Dealer Development.
I have the PERFECT shop. Ethridge Tires. They do ALL of my exhaust work. hmmm Maybe I need to go talk to them today.
"eXtreme customer service"... Ron just sends them the Fedex tracking number so they know he'll be showing up at the same moment the parts do for instant installation
Nope, I figured that out from the Bwoody exhaust. It was something like "Fedex shows the exhaust arriving this evening. I'll have pics and sound clips in the morning..."
