The only reason I was going with the DCR "ramp mod" is cause one of the local members here have it done on a TiAl wheel car and he has light supporting mods on the car... Mopar CAI, Mopar STS, AGP Hardpipes w/HKS BOV, Mopar Cat-back, Maxxfab S3 3" o2 housing, Maxxfab Cat-less downpipe and when going for a ride in the car it pulled hard. He hasn't noticed any problems and the car has about 10,000 miles on the kit by now and runs flawless. But do you think 400whp can still be done if you think I keep the kit stock and not touch it with a TiAl wheel with enough supporting mods?

    Gotcha :thumb:

Thank you for the heads up on the injectors. I'll look into Realtune's.

yes as i said, i have done it. i have a un-molested s3 turbo/manifold with many supporting mods. was going to send it out for pnp but, well the issues with f&f prevented me from sending it out. glad that i never did after that fiasco.

Yah easily, as long as you can lean the fuel out a bit, and have the basic bolt ons and maybe some porting done, you don't even need cams. I get about 350-360hp at 25psi, and about 410-420 on HOM.

What parts would need to be ported?

Not saying it would need to be, but you could port the intake manifold, get your S3 manifold ported to the O2, and get the turbo ported.

Any suggestions on where to get the S3 turbo/manifold ported at?

I suppose you could talk to DCR or PTP, they both offer porting services.

You should pick up an AGP or PTP S3 WGA too, it will hold more boost than the stock S3 WGA.

BTW, I've heard that the ramp mod can actually hurt HP, maybe it does, maybe it doesn't, but just know that you don't need that to achieve 400whp...

I was looking into having DCR do the work. I was going to have the DCR Stage 3 mod and get the Port match to o2 option and the 3" Bellmouth w/ custom Anti-surge mod plus the Black ceramic coating. I'm not sure if I can get the DCR mod without the "ramp mod".

I believe the ramp mod doesn't help much if you don't have supporting mods to go with it. So yeah someone that has a relatively stock s3 setup with just the DCR mod I can see it hurting performance. Full bolt-on's would make it a different story. My wife's SRT-4 is a DCR s3.

I won't try to sway you either way on the ramp mod, I only know that there's some contention between DCR and a couple of other vendors over whether or not it makes power or hurts power.

Either way, you should see 400whp on HOM with the setup you are planning.

What type of supporting mods would I need? I have the money to get whatever I need just unsure about what I would need to buy. Would I need to get like for ex. Returnline kit, W/I kit, AGP S3 WGA to go with the DCR S3 "ramp mod"?

I can't really say what supporting mods would be beneficial with DCR's s3 mod as my wife's car is pretty heavily modded.

I will tell you that you don't need a returnline on an s3 setup. Some do go that route but your better off upgrading the s3 fuel pump to a Walbro 255 and if you need more fuel then upgrade to bigger injectors.

I would definately say to go with an AGP s3 wga on PCM controlled boost. You said you bought a full s3 kit w/toys correct? If so, start with the basic bolt-ons if you don't have some yet... like the AGP s3 wga, 3" TBE, etc. Just make sure its parts you will continue to be using.

It's a full Stage 3 w/toys kit with TiAl wheel. My current bolt-on's on the car as of yesterday are Stage 1, 3" JMB intake, MPx 3" o2 housing, 3" Needswings catless downpipe, Mopar Cat-back, MPx FMIC, CTI 2.5" Hotside pipe, AGP Hardpipes with external BOV and PTP WGA. Once I get the kit installed which is probably around in May, I will be selling the PTP WGA, Stage 1 pcm and the MPx 3" o2 housing and getting the Maxxfab S3 3" o2 housing & a South Bend Stage 3 clutch since my stock one is already slipping a bit. I have almost every bolt-on I think I would need for this kit. I will definately look into getting a AGP S3 WGA also. I'm also deciding on whether or not to upgrade from a Mopar cat-back to a 3" cat-back instead to achieve my power goals.

Off to a good start I say.

I would upgrade the exhaust system to a FULL 3" TBE. We were running the QTP 3" DP w/cutout to stock exhaust on my wife's car and just about 2 weeks ago went with the MPX 3" TBE. So much better!!!

Southbend Stage 3 clutch is an excellent choice. Same clutch that is in my wife's car.

Good call! Your running a E-manage correct? You shouldn't need to pull much fuel out. Mainly at lower RPM's is where fuel will need corrected.

    Not running the E-manage.

Running the SMT-6 as a tuning device.

The car has been needing a retune for a few weeks now ever since I added some more new mods. Will probably put in the injectors this weekend.
