Now your making accusations....prejudicial, don't you think?

I'm not a die hard PTP type.....I'm as far from nutswinging as possible. I just don't understand the constant hating that he seems to receive....As far as I can tell, he's never done anybody wrong....

I've personally never had a problem with PTP or the parts. Thats why I suggested them.

Its an open forum and open thread in which anyone is allowed to voice their opinions.

I've learned that some have had luck with some vendors and some have not. So the feeling should be mutual.

Now I ask that a person's opinion is respected.

If you've tried/bought a product from a certain company then your able to voice an opinion. If you haven't and are just basing your own bias opinion because of "he said/she said" then don't post at all about that certain company.

It's okay to agree and disagree, just please hold a friendly argument without coming up with assumptions.

This was an open post, meaning this wasn't only towards 1-2 individuals.

Keep this thread clean. Thank you!

Threadstarter already ordered his s3 kit from what I read.

So the argument of where it should go or be bought from is null.

Unless the threadstarter is looking for upgraded work to be done to the s3 turbo such things as porting, upgraded wheel, etc.

Threadstarter still wants to know what it will take to get 400whp on what mods and so fourth.

Threadstarter also posted a list of what he has planned and wants to know if that would be able to reach his goal.

And I answered. I wasn't trying to start a fight or push one vendor product over another.

Notice, because I mentioned PTP (who isn't a vendor here) the namecalling came out.....I don't think I did anything to provoke anybody.....

Hence why I didn't mention any names. I'm not saying you were wrong nor am I saying you were right.

You simply stated your opinion and someone disagreed. Which is common with any thread that opinions are asked for. But I had to put the name calling to a halt as that's beyond a friendly argument.

I have no problems with PTP, as I have ran one of their wga's in the past.

Here we go again, typical 50 trim owner...

Let's not start an s3 vs "big turbo" epidemic again. We've seen the numerous threads/vids.

Keep this thread on topic. Thanks.

You are looking at what happened to my E3 upgrade after the TiAL wheel seperated. The compressor wheel was just fine, no shaft play. What you need to do if you are looking to go with the E3 is to order the ICONEL turbine(compressor/exhaust/CHRA) and have FM just perform the E3 upgrade to the ICONEL unit. You will then have a complete spare that you can keep or sell to make up for the difference of purchasing the ICONEL unit. Trust me man, the TiAL is GREAT if your keeping your S3 stock...not so good once you start pushing it hard. I've personally seen two TiAL units seperate now, mine and a buddy that was pretty close to stock S3.

Not to be a cock, but search over on the SRTforums and see just how many TiAL units have failed. I will agree that the exhaust wheel in itself is stronger, however the problem is how the wheel is secured to the CHRA. The two different metals cannot be welded so they have to braze the units together, this is much weaker.
Honestly if the TiAL was perfect why did Mopar release the ICONEL wheel?? Cost effectiveness was not what they where thinking I can assure you.

    LOL c'mon man. I don't know what I am talking about??:novote:
Did I say anything about gernading turbos??
Here are the flaws with your logic:
    Devils Own Progressive W/I
    PNP Head and Intake
    Crane 16's/Cam Gears

    Numbers:
    452HP 468TQ
468 TQ?? LOL I mean really 468 TQ?? My 44lb made more than that on the base S3 fuel system @21PSI.
Any 44lb/min S3 will be able to duplicate, if not DESTROY those numbers with METH/PORT & POLISHED HEADWORK AND FREAKIN 16's man.

I'm not here to bash PTP, but honestly the 49lb wheel is too big for the housing. It's as simple as that.

    But no juice....

That was just the first example that I found.

    There are others...

But, to each their own. I have 390 TQ on my SST V1....

I believe things when I see it. Please post a dyno sheet. Had to call it

Also why were you only running 21psi on a 44lb wheel? I know a guy who was running 26 on a 44lb wheel without ported head, wi, no Crane 16's but Crane 12's and was in the low 400 on torque. This was with almost every bolt-on except the few I mentioned. So I like to see your dyno sheet at only 21psi on a 44lb making over 468tq.

If you had meth/wi injection I don't see why you would only run 21psi.

Somethings just don't add up so I want to see what your even talking about plus I'd like to see some proof.

I'll have to dig the dyno sheet out and scan it. I was running NO METH. 21 PSI was the max the S3 fuel system could handle, I was running about 12.9-13.1 AFR @ Redline...LOL. No knock running VP110 leaded. Trust me once I threw in some 625cc injectors and bumped boost up too 28 spike/25 hold I'm sure I was pushing 450whp. But I never got to the dyno before the wheel seperated.(AFR's were in the just peachy range of 11.7-11.9 range after the injector swap)
I was planning on running dual stage W/I and a small shot of Nitrous on top of all that as well. Let me see if I can find the cell phone video of spinning the tires all the way through 3rd gear.

At 21psi with those AFR's on the stock s3 fuel system? I take it you didn't have a tuning device. DAB 0 on my wife's s3 is 21psi and during the powerband you see 0-0.5 knock. This is on the stock s3 fuel system and was running like that before I added the Walbro 255 fuel pump. By redline the AFR's on her car are in the 11's to 10's. But we are running a tuning device (SMT-6) with ported head, ported intake mani, ported tb, maxxfab 3" o2 housing, agp s3 wga, dcr modded s3, mpx tbe and a bunch of other mods. I have the cams and cam gears here waiting to be installed. I was planning on getting the DeatschWerks 650cc injectors for her car.

44lb/min wheel is why the AFR's were maxxed. No piggyback at that point.
Steer clear of the DW injectors, I ran a set of 750 & 650cc injectors and had trouble with both. Their injectors like to stick open from time to time and the ECU doesn't like that:no: Realtune offers a 625cc(which flows about 640-650) that is a complete NEW plug and play injector.
