    Tonight's update:

Madeline's condition has been upgraded, so she doesn't need the tube in her nose or all the IVs in her arms any more. We took some pictures of the amazing view she has of San Francisco and also got some photos of her without all that extra tubing and stuff on. Plus I finally got to hold her tonight. A really awesome day all in all.

No, she woke up cause the binky fell out and I had to hold it for her because she was going at it so hard it'd pop right out.

Oh, ok. lol, here's something neat you can try after she gets a bit older if she likes those formed binkies. You sort of start out with maybe a 1/8 turn and gradually work up to a 1/2 turn. The kids will turn them back without breaking stride. It's amazing, like a mouse trap, thwop! The wife didn't think it was amusing... I don't think the kids minded and I certainly enjoyed it

I can realte Tam, our little Sophia started live in the NICU - and now she's one of the biggest kids for her age group at daycare and doing amazing things. Maddy will grow strong and I'm sure you already love being a mom so much! Gald to hear things are going well, and I bet you cannot wait to get a babyseat mod on the Charger, I swear mine makes my car even faster!!! :)

Well, I want to get her off the binky once I can start feeding her regularly, but for now its developing her suck reflex and it seems to comfort her. Gotta say, she has the cutest little yawn and sneeze and well, hell, everything. :baby:

Congrats, T! In that second set of pics, where you have your hand on her binky, she's got that "Don't mess with my stuff!" look in her eye!

My oldest daughter, and her daughter, were both preemies. Both of them were Miracle Babies in my view. I know the pain and the anxiety that comes first, the concern that comes next and the relief that comes after that.

She looks great! She just needs time, food and love to grow and I know you won't have any problem providing all three!

    Again, congrats!

    -Michael

More good news today, Maddy's now a week old and she no longer needs the umbilical tube/iv thing and they were able to use Marc's blood for two transfusions for her today. Her weight's holding stable and it looks like she'll be feeding soonish. Oh and I got to hold her again!

Here are some pictures from tonight:

Some pictures Marc's mom took the day Maddy was born. You can really see the difference a week makes.
