I'm not that up to date on all the flavors of late model mustangs on the road these days, so I was pretty exited when I spotted a gray stang with big 427 graphics rolling down Fletcher at lunch. Turns out 427 is the hp and not the cubes. Actually it has 435 hp according to the website. It was nice looking but $16k for 115 hp and 65 lbs of torque (I'm assuming at the crank). I'm sure it gets up and moves but how cool is it when you have to roll down the window at every red light and say.... "No..it only a 4.6 litre..." http://www.roushperformance.com/mustang_427r.shtml
if your looking at Roush Mustangs...look at the 510hp P51A mustang.... that is a low production very nice roush but if HP is what you want...the GT500KR is your car! haha...725 baby!!
I like the Rousch and Saleen, but damn am I tired of seeing Mustangs everywhere. They are like trees in a Rain Forest.
I guess that's probably what this whole "427" package is about since your not getting a lot of HP for the money, but with the cost of original GT plus the cost of the kit a person could buy something a little more exclusive to start with. <edit> an I-charged SRT comes to mind....
I JUST told him that, I made a comment on how someone spelled Roush wrong and here comes Steve...spelling Porsche wrong.
That's more of a respect thing than a policing thing. I remember being 16 and driving down the Autobahn with my dad (going to Zuffenhausen for the tour) and seeing a PAIR of 930 Turbo cop cars in the median. They don't screw around there. They *will* get you.
It's not cool at all! That would suck all the time to have to say that. Bet he says "yea, it's a 427" all the time.
Yea but you don't go around putting your HP number on your car, that's just stupid. You DO put the size of your motor on it though!
