Been working on just a few minor touches on the rig over the past few weeks and thought I'd finally share with my "C" family!!!
Got the headlights painted, as I was tired of waiting for a vendor to make the covers! [IMG]

I know. Rusty rotors from just washing, and no tire shine yet!

    From the front.

Side shot. No more stinking amber turn signal!!!!

    My dumbazz shadow. My bad....

The cost on this from the body shop was $300. Including bumper removal and paint. He put a layer of gray primer under the paint to keep it from being transparent in the day. I thought the price was fair, I love the new look. Cleans up the front end beautifully.

    A few more.

Also painted the roof rails to match!

And took care of the chance of the exhaust getting discombobulated or misaligned. Had my fabricator weld in a small "bridge" at the back of the bends to connect the two tips. This will keep them from shifting and moving.

The last few things I'm debating are whether or not to paint the chrome sensor strip on rear bumper, the chrome strip on front bumper, and black out the window moldings or not? I kinda like the place it's at now. What do you guys think? Paint or leave as is?

Also. I get my finished CAI from my fabricator on Wednesday. It's a 4" intake in polished finish with black couplers, and a K&N 4" filter. He's also laser cutting a plate to seal of the filter from the hot engine bay. I did a lot under the hood recently too, but am waiting to post those pics, till I get the intake finished. I'll post those engine bay pics later in the week.
What do you guys think so far? Please be HONEST.

Chase buddy!!!!!!!! Wow, niice mods. The painted headlight covers look better than mine you beeyatch. Love all the mods and the direction you've taken. Looking forward to the engine bay shots. Either leave the rig where she is now or blackout the mouldings and colormatch the chrome on the front and the back. Having just done the full kicker upgrade myself, I'd say do that for sure being the baller you are ha ha!

DEFINITELY NOT A BALLER!!!! :) lol. Kicker upgrade is on my radar for sure!! Gonna do the Pioneer Avic D-3 first. Gotta get nav in this bitch! Right now mods for the Jeep are on hold, until I finish with the "final" check I have to write PPP for the 426 setup on the Charger next week. lol. If I have enough $$ left, the Jeep is getting SW Headers, Diablo, and the Pioneer. Thanks for the Kudos Andrew!

My thought is DEFINITELY get them color matched if yo go that route. But I see what you are sayin about the water and dust gettin in there. Hmmmm. That's why I just had my headlights PAINTED. But....the only downfall to that, is if I get a rock chip, I'm screwed. For me, it's worth the risk!!! Whereas you have the option of those covers. If one of those gets chipped, take it off, drop it off at the body shop and pick it up a couple days later. I dunno man, tough call. If you're feigning for a subtle change on your sled, which it seems like you are. I say powdercoat those wheels baby!!! Maybe a different color? Or, do some finishing touches under the hood? You got mod-itis bad, I can tell by your recent posts!!!

    Looks great Chase.

Actually, you should be VERY glad you had the lights painted rather than putting covers on... Covers can look tacky. IMO

    Thanks Ron.
Yeah, there was "supposed to be" somebody making just little trim pieces like I had painted, in a molded plastic, not a full cover so to speak. But that fell through. Got tired of waiting.....

It looks awesome right now Chase. Better than any I've seen (well, maybe a one or two black ones).

Except something just ain't quite right and I'm not sure what it is.

First I thought it was the tails. In that pic from the left rear corner that big black tail doesn't look like it should be there. Then the tails look really good from the straight on rear shot. I don't think I like the chrome line on the bottom of the windows but it is the long line on the car. I think I'd black that out. I think the visual line would still be there running the length of the car. But then the chrome on the front and back would be left out there by themselves. They look good but they probably need that chrome strip under the windows to tie them in. Probably should black them out too. Not sure what to do about the tails. I think if you color matched them to the car it would look tacky. How about painting them like you did the headlights so you have less area on the sides? More in proportion to what you see from directly behind.
