yes you could fit the tire on, but getting it to fit in the wheel well..... different story. if you recall brad jones over on the district, as well as some of the other forums, well he offered to give me the wheels in trade for my stock ones if i would guinea pig them for him to see if they fit under a car my height with a 315. he wanted to go with some KW's, but had already installed some 10 1/2" srt wheels on his car with a 315. so i know they work on a stock height car. also, you need to run at least a 3mm spacer in order to clear the inside. also, the inside plastic fender well must be cut and clearenced a small amount to keep for rubbing. with my 285, it is not needed, but to fit a 315, it is needed. i did not go with a 315 because the profile of the sidewall bulged a bit too much for me. also, i could not find a 245 to match tread patterns. now if you run a 275/40 up front like you, then 315's could happen with a bit of cutting......

I remember reading about this waaay back and I always wanted to keep my stock wheels because I think they just did an awesome job designing them...are there vendors out there who do this Chris or is it a Tire/Wheel Custom shop thingie? I bet it's pricey (ya how much lol) and do you think that it degrades the integrity of the wheel in any way...say at high speeds...probably not though since you'd never risk it. It's welded right? Sorry for all the q's hehe...but now you have me thinking...315 bulged eh? Hmm. Wonder if they have 305's.

I already have an account set up. No need for a CC. Just mention my name and ask for "Hal's Special".

No. He said they fit the rims fine (Chris thought they bulged a bit too much visually) but won't fit the wheel wells without some cutting on the inside...

You can get wheels widened at Weldcraftwheels.com. These guys have been doing it for years. Primo work. And yes, it is welded. I believe it costs, somewhere in the neighborhood of $200 a wheel, give or take $50. I looked into this severely before I got my Asantis. However, I don't think Chris got his done with them, someplace local I believe did Chris' if I remember right? Anyway....this is a great option if you can put the rear end up on jackstands for a week or two and send them off to be done. It's a win-win, stay stock & go wider!!

Hal - 315's will fit on the wheel. But fitting them into the wheel well itself wont' work.....

Thanks Guys. Trying to catch up.

I still like my chrome stockers with my 295 RSA's for looks. But I know the 426 will not be a good match for the RSA's.
