Has anyone ever gotten Dodge to stand up & take care of the plastic slave cyl in the Ram SRT-10 trucks? I am going on my third in 12,000 miles & don't think it's right to have to pay an extra $500 + for viper slave upgrade while still under warranty.

Nope. I had Maureen's Slave Cylinder replaced about 6 months ago.

The solution employed by most of us in the RC's is to go to the Viper Master/Slave cyl...it requires a shim but it is billet rather than plastic. Most have also migrated to the CenterForce clutch.

There are scores of stories about the clutch and the plastic cyl...some have lasted less than 5K. Mine were replaced at 8K and are fine now at 32K.

My stock one is still working fine, but I already have the Centerforce clutch with Viper master and slave cylinder waiting for the day it gives out.

    I'm with BeGood.
My stock one is fine (26K miles), but I'll be upgrading when I do the new clutch.

My stock clutch is great with 38,000 miles on it. When it does give up I will replace the master and slave with the Viper parts but will probably go back with a stock type clutch. I have seen to many problems with these 1000.00 aftermarket clutch setups.

FatJack, I seriously doubt that the stock clutch will hold up. Wait, you are running less than 300 at the rear wheels...you and Kevan will probably be fine with the stock one. :rofl2:

How is it going? Any word about another GTG at Gary's this year?

I know Gary wants to do one. I would like to go if I can make it.

    Things are good here.
I spoke with Gary 2 weeks ago. He's neck deep in his motorcycle shop and other stuff (life). He's not doing "full builds" of the trucks anymore. He's just making and selling X-metal parts now, along with his other aftermarket goodies (including clutches and the Viper slave cylinder).

I didn't mention another GTG at his place. Like you guys, I too had a blast at the last one. Too bad my clutch got so damn hot.
I'm sure we'll have some type of kickass GTG this spring to hold us over until Nats. That track up by Roy looked like A LOT of fun.

    There's also Mid-Ohio.....
