TimeSpeedDistance NIGHT rally on Saturday, 3/29. Registration from 5 to 6:15, drivers meeting at 6:30, first car off at 7pm. Cars leave in 1 minute invtervals from your car number, so first come first start. Should be about 2-4 hours (usually 3ish). You need TWO people (driver and navigator), and $20 per car ($10 each). Recommended: a pen, something to write on on the nav's lap (like a clipboard), a basic calculator (or a nav who likes math), and a watch/clock with seconds that you can easily reset to the rallymaster's time. Rally computers, GPS systems, and lights above headlight level not allowed. Trophys for the winners of each class. http://www.wscc.org/flyers/2008BunnyRunRallyFlyer.pdf it's a good time for anyone in the area who wants to come. we do the turkey rally every year, this will be our first bunny rally, but it's the same idea. we have 3-4 cars coming as of right now, so come out and have some fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That sounds pretty fun...how do they do that?...do they shut down the roads or do you have to fight traffic and stuff too? lol
we have to fight traffic lol. they tell the local police that we'll be out there, but we're supposed to follow posted speed limits so there's not that much speeding. and it's really true, you can't do all that much as some of it is in back roads where you don't really want to be going to fast lol. there's no highway driving, most of it is on side roads or local main roads. you should come if you can, it's fun. frustrating as hell but fun lol
that is pretty freaking cool... If i am around i will have to come out...how many total cars are there... and do the popo leave you guys alone since they know your out there? haha
well the rally was last night. interesting....... we finished in 2h 54min @ 75 miles with 23 bunnies. course time was 2h 42min @ 68miles, 42 bunnies. so overall we didn't do that bad actually. no major issues with the rally tonight except one part where everyone was getting the directions wrong and going in circles in ct. someone must have called the police because they made a road block and were stopping cars haha. luckily both our cars that were in the rally were long past that point when it happened, so no issues for us. the other car we were with gave up after 3.5hrs, which is pretty common for a first rally. you get better as you keep doing them. we had a good time though, looking forward to the summer one
sweet...the question is then...do i trust any of my friends enough (no lol) to attempt being the Navigator hahaha
they might have something like it local to you. lots of the car clubs do things like this. check at your local autox events, that's where you'll find out.
yea they do but nothing right now. our first rallycross isnt for another month i think. dirt+skittle=:yahoo:
