World’s Fastest Challenger Specialty Awards Presented by Mopar Enthusiast Magazine: One of the great features of the NMCA’s Late-Model HEMI Shootout is the ability to determine, on the national stage, who has the world’s fastest true, late-model Challenger. Will the winner be supercharged, turbocharged, nitrous assisted or naturally aspirated? NMCA’s rules will ensure the winner is a real ’08 or ’09 Challenger with a late-model 5.6 or 6.1 based power plant. The NMCA will present the following specialty awards on the Saturday of the Late-Model HEMI Shootout at the completion of qualifying: • Winner: $1500 + Jacket • Runner-Up: $750 + Jacket • The winner of the World’s Fastest Challenger award will receive a color feature in Mopar Enthusiast magazine, one of the leading Mopar publications in the U.S. Just imagine your all-new Challenger featured in a national magazine! Rules for above awards: • Competitors must be entered in the HEMI Rumble class. • Vehicles must meet all HEMI Rumble class rules. For more information, or questions, please contact NMCA Tech Director, Jeff Conley, at 260-572-0448.
That is very cool. Only problem I see at present is the "Title". I don't think it should be called "World's Fastest Challenger". Why? Because as it stands now, the worlds fastest Challenger is sitting in a garage in Southern California (Trojan). What happens when your winner is not faster than Trojan's Challenger, but Trojan never made it to PA for the race? Just my opinion.
seconded. should be "fastest PA and greater area challenger" 1500 and a jacket isnt worth even the gas to trailer the car out there and back. the idea is great though, wish they had some sort of meet every year to do this.....maybe in texas?
We already use the name Rumble, as in, Rumble in the Desert. We aren't afiliated with this event, other than allowing it to be posted on our site. Wish we could get some of our Southwest and West cars back there.
How about a link to what the "HEMI Rumble Class" rules are anyway.... ....The car has to rumble under idle?....
There's the answer to the first post I suggest if he want's to keep the title he should come run the event. Look out guys I know of some other fast cars coming out for this that don't post on any of the boards. It's going to be awesome.
very true, there are others out there that are fast.....saying your fastest in the world is a big statement.
I dont say the world, Although the video made for me said that, I didnt know it would say that. I really had no input in the video. And I know there are fast cars out there, What I also believe is that the boards are cutting edge, And if you modding a 3rd gen Hemi on your own with no board activity, Well lets just say your working with less resources. I know of several 6-700HP show car Challengers, None are set up to actually race. Who knows, you may be speaking of a twin S/C'd Chally, Not sure, but the arrangements have been made, The HHP Challenger wll be there to prepped and ready for a shot at the title. :bigwink:
Since their is no OFFICIAL National Series with TV, internet and national magazine coverage like ours having something like this the fastest Challenger on the property will be considered THE WORLD"S FASTEST/QUICKEST CHALLENGER which ever way we word it it's going to be an awesome event. So load it up drive it out or drag it and let's see who has the fastest challenger out there.
Here are some pics of a car that plans on attending the event. 5 months to get ready!!! http://www.evansvillechrysler.com/challenger.htm#challenger_top
Damn! Well then I guess its on! HHP heads up with Indy! Makes me wanna work harder, Im jumping on the phone!!! lol!!!
Chris, no worries bro. Just think, when you are either right on his tail or passing him, you will get to say "I can drive mine to the store" and still hung with you. hahaha
My moneys on chris. didnt we see a video of that chalenger running already? mid to low 10's Or am I mistaken? wait that might have been the drag pack one
