Mine was: "wow this thing is ****ing fantastic!! Good thing too, since it's in my name already! ;)

(traded cars with guy in NY - had never even sat in an SRT before it was dropped off at my house :D )

    What was yours?

I was working at a dealer and was the first one to test drive it once it got unloaded off the truck and my first thought was what the fuck is with the late trans shift and hitting the limiter on the 1-2. hahahaha.

Underwhelmed... I test drove the car I wound up buying and the salesman only let me drive on local roads with limits of 40 or less. He refused to go near the highway or on even a road with a 55 limit... and insisted on being in the car.

I left, kept looking, and wound up testing other SRT8s and a R/T R&T at other dealers mostly just to get a feel for the REAL car... and to drive them without supervision. LOL

Came back for the one I didn't really test because it was the one I wanted.

Honestly, I love the feel of the car but was dissapointed at the HUGE lag at WOT and between 1st and 2nd, almost felt like it was shutting off between gears. Took awhile to get this part figured out. My 06 computer program was written on April of 04. Had this overridden with a 2009 program and it felt like a BRAND NEW car and so much more power.

I tried to do a peel-out from the dealer's parking lot and it felt like someone threw pillows in the intake manifold. It took me a while to learn what traction control was...lol.

Same here....I bought my former 2006 Charger SRT8 unseen on Nov 12, 2005....my dealer picked it up in West Virginia.....the first drive I left the dealership in a cloud of tire smoke....didnt even realize it was spinning the tires till I looked in the rear view mirror..I remember telling my brother who was riding with me "damn!..I havent driven a car that could do that in decades"......why did I ever trade that car???:cry2:

I think I prefer the stopping power to the go power, its just that damn cool to experience a car that big stop that well. Plus the howling downshift, like the car is expressing its displeasure at having to slow down. "Nooooooooooooooooo!"

Very comfortable car. Didn't seem as big as it looks for manuvering in parking lot in between cars.
Test drove in rain and car is safe and when traction control kicks in car stays straight with no fishtailing. I want one
