I removed my 4128 as it caused a small leak when driven hard... when i removed it I can see where the gasket was pinched due to the tight fit.. I ordered the Jet 180 stat and it fit perfectly.. no problems since.. just my $0.02...

    Stat Question

Hello all - I'm a new member and this is my first post.
During normal to moderate driving my 09 GC typically runs around 200-220. Does this seem high or normal for the stock stat? I'll be changing it out soon but just curious. This seems to be one of the most common mods and I just wonder why it doesn't come equipped from the factory.
My first mods will be coming soon and I'm planning for the Jet 180 and 63 Series K&N Intake - thoughts?

200-220 is normal. The stock t-stat is 193*. The low speed fans are set to come on at 210* and the high speed fans are set to come on at 219*. The reason it comes from the factory that way is for emissions.

If you change the t-stat you will need some way to change the fan turn-on temperature to take advantage of it --> Predator. I'd buy the Predator with the t-stat before buying the K&N.

    and welcome to the SRT/C!
