How vast is your experience with graphics? I find Photoshop CS2 and 3 very user un-friendly but also never got into it very deep for that reason. I use Paint Shop Pro X2

I am new at this but ready to go to the next level...I want to make animated sigs and edit pic's for the Jeep and video...I was just checking out Photoshop Elements...What do ya think? I dont want to spend more than a couple hundred bucks...Or am I asking for too much for that kinda money? Thanks

How do you like your program and how expensive? Thanks

Photoshop elements is all right. Paint Shop Pro 12 will get you further...it's a more powerful program but pretty easy to use and very user friendly. I believe it's 60 bucks and is available for immediate purchase and download or you can pick it up at best buy/future shop etc. I think you'd like it. I've used a number of them, and I still stick to this one. It allows you to save images in photoshop (psd) format and about 40 other file types. Corel also includes Animation Shop for a good price (I think 30) on their site that allows you to do animation.

I could see a class for photoshop being a reeaaallly good thing. I can't even figure out how to cut part of an image and paste that as a new one....without going through a few extra steps.

I use PS 7.0 (old school) and CS2. There's a few on here I think using CS3. With every newer version of PS there is newer features in which others lack. I'm old school and use mostly 7.0. I will save and open CS2 when I need to use tools 7.0 lacks. Both are pretty much identical though. I'm just used to using 7.0.

If I were you I would do a search to see which version(s) are compatible with Vista.

Gimp is pretty cool. I have never really dealt with any kind of photo editor so I am kinda lost.

im using PS 7.0 cuz thats the only one i have downloaded, but i have it installed on both my XP home laptop and my vista premium laptop, with no issues as of yet.. never taken a class, just took some fooling around for me to get some of the functions.

my gf makes a lot of animated avatar/banner/icons using adobe image ready, which comes with photoshop..

i could get you a 'legit' copy of PS 7.0 if you want.........
