Hey guys....Sorry I fell out of the loop during the winter. Things in my life took a turn. I'm learn'n to deal with it everyday. But, I still havent forgot you guys and I'm push'n myself and my truck to new levels. Since all this, me and my crew got our Drag-on Kustoms shop up and run'n. since the eco has crap on lock down for a small business to grow. We are all working out of our own garages. Right now, I have this sick little S-10 with a big block take'n up one side and almost half of my trucks insides laid out all over my Scamp and my work area. The S-10 is have'n an old vette seat wrap around sub encloser with a center console that will house his NOS bottle and B&M shifter. To top it off with one of my some what famous headliners and custom fab'd door panels. All in all im he's looking at 5G of work from me. On the other side of the garage...well, I'l let my pics do the talking.
Damn, sounds like you are busy. Nice. Glad you are dealing with lifes issues, but remember, we are ALL family here, so don't hesitate to ask for help when needed. Sometimes an unknown ear is just what the doctor ordered. Looks like you are doing great work with your own sled, so keep us up to date with the progress. Welcome back.
Thanks Nevin... There is still one issue I would like to get going before I slap my dash together. I'm wanting to totally ace my key ignition and have just a simple few switches and my push botton to start my sled. I been look'n every where but come up dry.
I'l have them up sometime 2morrow. Its a bitch of a truck. He drop'd a small block 350 stroker in it. Sad thing is that its kill'n Alts and Bats left and right. So its dead in my garage and its a pain in the ass to push that truck in and out.
Get some wider pulleys and belts on there. Maybe even a taller pulley for the Alt. Sounds like it is spinning to fast?
well you also gotta think...he went in and totally did something to the wire'n. since the s-10 started off as a 6. But, he also is run'n a walmart super start bat. and a auto zone grand daddy alt....haha
He can go with a two battery system. Use a solenoid on a toggle to turn stereo on. The stereo battery will then be charged by the alt. Won't need anything bigger than an 80amp alt either. I had this kind of a setup in my old lowrider and worked like a charm. No noise or caps needed. And I used red caps for both the car and stereo battery. haha Had huge 980 cranking amp marine batteries running my hydro's. hehehehe
I'm Back! Hey there Tom! Good to see you are doing ok! The truck is loooooking great and you have definately been very busy. Hope to see you this year at an event again.
