Default Safety Rules & Questions @ LX & BEYOND NATIONALS

I just wanted to bring some items to your ATTENTION for the upcoming
LX & BEYOND NATIONALS.

I called National Trails Raceway this afternoon and here are the questions and answers that I received......................

(1)---Do your sell fuel at the track ?
they sell 110; c-12, methanol, and regular

(2)---Is there an air compressor with a chuck ?
THERE IS ONE ON THE PIT SIDE, BY TECH

(3)---Do you refill nitrous bottles at the track ?
the answer is NO, but Jeg's does; they are 20 minutes away

(4)---Will their be security at the track after hours ?
the answer is YES; from 7pm to 7am

(5)---Do you broadcast the PA announcements over the radio ?
the answer is YES; on FM Station 88.3

(6)---What is the exact elevation of the track ?
the answer is 900 feet above sea level

(7)---Do you have a weather station at the track ?
the answer is NO; so check it the day before; online

(8)---Is there a scale to weigh our vehicles at the track ?
the answer is YES, and it works, and it is FREE to use

(9)---Can the track keep track of the Quick 16 qualifying ?
the answer is YES

(10)--Can the Bump Spot be posted on the scoreboard for the Quick 16 ?
the answer is YES

(11)--Is National Trails going to enforce the 11.49 roll bar rule ?
THE ANSWER IS 100%-----YES

The 2nd time your car goes quicker than 11.49 and your vehicle does NOT have a roll bar you will be disqualified and your racing is DONE !!!!
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Last but NOT least I can NOT stress it enough, make sure that you have your entry form and check by 4-30-08 to be eligible for Giant DOOR PRIZES. We have some Door Prizes that are worth around $1,300 each.........

If you have any questions feel free to ask in here or PM me.

Looking forward to a Great Event
Chuck Green

Great. A "quick 16" that's really an 11.500 bracket race.

If you guys have rented the track, adn you've paid the insurance, and they believe their waivers hold any water, they could "relax" for the Quick 16 tourney, if nothing else.

It's not like our cars aren't modern cars, in good condition, that pass federal rollover regulations, and have multiple airbags.

It's not like we want to make a 1972 Vega run in the 9's with no protection.

You don't have to register in advance, but just want to make sure everybody is aware that the gate fee will increase $10 at the gate. The increase is not just for "racing people", its for EVERYBODY that will be parking on the participant side of the track.

Before Event
At the Gate
M&G $20
M&G $30
Show $30
Show $40
Race $50
Race $60

Spectators and additional passengers will remain $10/each

See ya in June!!!

I dont think that the "quick 16" is to keep you fast guys from running to fast for safty reasons without a cage. i think they asked the track if they could do it to make it fun for everyone. the track is not inforcing it i think they want it. thats how i understood the Q&A on it. as for the cage thats not only a track rule it's an NHRA rule. and they decided on it for a reason. any track that does not enforce something like that is not one i want to run at.IMO

Time to BUMP this back to the top.

Print out the form at the bottom of post #1, fill it out, sign it,
get your entry fee in the mail or PayPal (centralohiolx@hotmail.com)
Registration accepted until May 17.

***Pre-registration for door prizes is CLOSED***
***Participant gate fee will increase $10 on day of event***
*Additional passengers and spectators will remain at $10*

We will be mailing out confirmation packages to everyone pre-registered which is the reason why we have to close registration on May 17 to allow enough time for US Mail to deliver to you before the event.
This will make check-in at the event very smooth.

Check posts #1-2-3 on main thread for updates. You don't want to miss out on this one!!!
